As Service Excellence Officer for EY’s business support unit (Core Business Services) you will lead the way to creating long term value through continuous improvement.

 

The opportunity
Service Excellence is EY’s structured and integrated approach to improve performance in service delivery consistent with the Lean methodology. As Service Excellence Officer, you are part of our Program Management Office and the driving force for Continuous Improvement behind all the business support departments where capability building and results go hand in hand. And that is what applies to yourself as much as for the people you work with. In this challenging job, you will develop your strategic thinking, Operational Excellence (Lean) knowledge and experience, and change management, people and organisational skills. EY is currently establishing a Service Excellence Office for Western Europe, you will be part of this community and as The Netherlands is at the forefront of this transformation be a role-model towards other countries.  

 

Your key responsibilities
The Service Excellence officer is responsible to make sure that all business support departments of EY achieve long term sustainable performance improvements by following the Service Excellence standards. In this role, you are the person that accelerates continuous improvement in the firm in various ways. You provide expert support, train and coach teams and their leaders, connect with people at all levels on their service excellence responsibilities and support them in solving complex problems.  You assess where help is needed the most and organize it in the most effective way to guide the organization through its Service Excellence journey. In doing so, you make a meaningful contribution to deliver excellent services to our client serving business and building a better working world. 

Your position is based in the Netherlands, but as CBS functions of EY are organized on European level, expect to cooperate across the continent and occasionally travel to other EY offices.

 

Skills and attributes for success
We are looking for the person that easily connects with other people, can inspire and motivate teams and knows how to handle resistance, someone who is well organized and able to set priorities and someone who is committed to achieve progress and deliver results.

 

To qualify for the role you must have

·  At least five years of working experience in similar roles and environments
·  At least two years of experience as a manager / coach to build capability and boost performance
·  Experience with execution of Continuous Improvement / Operational Excellence / Lean Six Sigma
·  A Master’s degree

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

·  A Green or Black Belt certification
·  You speak an extra European language, besides English and Dutch
·  The willingness to travel on an occasional basis
