The opportunity
Infrastructure is a core sector for EY, housed within our Government & Infrastructure market. Our Infrastructure Team are focused on 2 core areas across:
· The initiation and successful delivery of transformation programmes, tackling our clients’ most pressing and complex initatives
· The involvement in early stage, large scale infrastructure project development activities, as well as ongoing support, to drive more successful infrastructure project delivery
We are focused on growing our infrastructure programme focus and large scale transformation delivery across our wide range of clients within a variety of sectors, including Government, Transport, Power & Utilities, Oil & Gas and Telecommunications.
We are investing in Infrastructure in order to drive the right engagement across our core accounts, as well as looking to grow our overall presence across this sector and be involved in the design, development and delivery of significant programmes under the recently published National Infrastructure Strategy.

Your key responsibilities
· Business analysis - evaluating business processes, gathering requirements, identifying areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions to help enable the successful delivery of Infrastructure transformation projects
· Business case development using the Green Book 5 case model
· Development of reports, documents and presentations to assist clients and senior members of the EY team with decision making
· Coordination and facilitation of client meetings and workshops
· Programme and project management delivery, within both traditional and agile project environments
· Building trusted client relationships that contribute to enhancing EY’s brand and reputation
· Providing leadership, training, coaching, and guidance to junior staff
· Contribute to business development, including development of proposals in response to tender opportunities
· Contribute to internal practice development, around the Infrastructure market in general but also within specific competency / capability focus area (e.g. Transformation, Finance, Supply Chain, Technology)
· Contribute to EY’s positioning across the UK (and global) infrastructure market, through an active social media presence, and thought leadership development
Skills and attributes for success
· An understanding of, and interest in, the UK Infrastructure sector
· Experience working in industry, government or a management consultancy environment
· Ability to analyse data and deliver insightful, practical solutions
· Experience of communicating with senior clients and / or stakeholders
· Skills and experience in Programme and Project Management
· Presentation & facilitation skills
· Understanding of both traditional management techniques and agile ways of working
· The confidence to build lasting relationships and influence senior colleagues and clients in leading roles
· Proven ability to adapt and learn in an innovative environment
To qualify for the role, you must have
· Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification or experience
· 2+ years experience within the Infrastructure sector, with specific experience in one or more sub-capabilities (e.g. supply chain / target operating model / transformation definition & delivery / finance / solution architecture / data & analytics, etc.)
· High standard of written communication and English language fluency
· Willingness to travel and work across the UK and potentially overseas
Ideally, you’ll also have
· Knowledge and experience working on large scale digitally enabled infrastructure programmes
· An ability to adapt and learn in an innovative environment
· Competencyin additional major languages desired
