Your key responsibilities
As a Senior, Performance Improvement, Supply Chain & Operations, you'll contribute to Supply Chain & Operations client engagements and internal projects. An important part of your role will be to actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships. You will also work on various projects that require diverse skill sets. You'll also identify potential business opportunities for EY within existing engagements and escalate these as appropriate. Similarly, you'll anticipate and identify risks within engagements and raise any issues with senior members of the team. In line with EY’s commitment to quality, you'll confirm that work is of high quality and is reviewed by the next-level reviewer. As an influential member of the team, you'll help to create a positive learning culture, coach and counsel junior team members and help them to develop. A willingness to travel to meet client needs; travel requirements could be as high as 80%.
Client responsibilities
· Work collaboratively in technology consulting teams to successfully deliver engagements through integration of data systems, driving excellence for our clients
· Assist with review, improvement, and assessment of Supply Chain, procurement and risk management functions
· Deliver high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budget
· Provide insight by using a robust set of data analytics
· Develop and maintain working relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels
· Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication, and updating senior team members on progress
· Perform work in corporate offices, field and site locations, as well as remotely from a home office
People responsibilities
· Contribute to the growth and development of the Advisory practice
· Maintain an educational program to continually develop technical capabilities and professional knowledge
· Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures
· Remain current on new developments in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge
· Skills and attributes for success
· Excellent communications skills including verbal, written, and presentation skills
· Strong problem solving and analytical skills
· To qualify for the role you must have
· An undergraduate degree (ideally in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or Logistics), a graduate degree is preferred
· Approximately 2-5 years of related working experience; including university internships and/or co-op placements (ideally a combination of field/on-site and head office experience)
· Experience with improving performance of large-spend organizations with complex, high volume procurements
· Familiarity with leading supply chain and procurement technologies
Ideally, you’ll also have
· Experience in asset-intensive companies for e.g. Power & Utilities or Oil & Gas is preferred
· Experience in reviewing/assessing capital and operational spend (contract or other) to identify improvement opportunities
· Experience in reviewing/assessing supply chain risks and identifying improvement opportunities
· Demonstrated knowledge of Contract Lifecycle management and tools/technologies used in CLM
· Ability to use analytical platforms (e.g. Alteryx) and Visualization tools (Power BI)
