EY’s Actuarial team comprises life, non-life and pension actuaries. We have built a strong reputation as leading actuarial advisor. We support our clients on a wide range of topics and in several roles – be it 1 st , 2 nd or 3 rd line of defense, external audit or transactions. 

Our dynamic team is continuing to grow. Currently, we have opportunities for talented professionals with actuarial expertise at the level of Senior Consultant.

The opportunity

Working as part of the actuarial team, you will take part in engagements related to a wide range of topics.Some examples of domains in which you will support our clients include the following:

 

·  Actuarial valuation and reporting under IFRS/BEGAAP/Solvency II
·  Implementation of new regulatory requirements such as IFRS 17, Solvency II 2020 review and arising requirements with respect to Climate change and Sustainability
·  Capital optimization, including optimization of reinsurance strategy
·  Model development, model review and/or validation
·  Product development and pricing
·  Actuarial in-house support and Actuarial function support
·  Transaction support
·  Audit support for Solvency II and statutory reporting

 

We expect you to work effectively as a team member and build good relationships with the client. You will have the opportunity to expand your actuarial knowledge and skills, and will be able to collaborate frequently with other EY professionals with a wide variety of expertise, both in Belgium and abroad.

 

How will you grow?

·  You will expand your actuarial expertise with a clear link to the business problems our clients are facing
·  As you grow further in your job, you will take the lead on client engagements and coach our junior colleagues.
·  You will build strong internal relationships within EY, both in Belgium and abroad, as well as a broad network within the Belgian insurance market

 

To qualify for the role you must have the following skills...

·  You have a master in Actuarial Sciences.
·  You have between 2 to 5 years of professional experience in an actuarial-oriented position
·  Proficient level of business English, and fluent in Dutch and/or French
·  You have a global mindset, and the drive to work in international teams, across border!
