The_opportunity  

EY’s insurance and actuarial practice in Italy is growing and we are looking for actuarial professionals with experience in Non Life and Financial Risk to join the team as Senior Actuarial Consultants, based in Rome and Milan .

As Actuarial professional you will have a great opportunity to expand your technical knowledge and skills, work on different projects across the insurance sector and frequently work with other service lines. At the same time you will have the opportunity to make a real difference to the Actuarial Services team during a time of exciting growth.

 

Your key responsibilities

The successful candidates will be responsible for applying their knowledge and experience in a wide variety of projects including consultantions on actuarial models and risk issues, audits and external peer reviews, IFRS 17 implementation, process improvement and automation and modelling and analysis supporting various actuarial projects.

You will be immediately exposed to real client assignments; that means you need to think outside the box, be creative and solutions oriented, challenge existing practices and be adaptable to change.

To qualify for the role you must have

·        At least 2 years of experience working in an actuarial position within the non life insurance industry or at an actuarial consulting firm

·        Understanding of insurance policy, coverage, underwriting and pricing processes

·        Knowledge of Solvency II and IFRS17

·        Good programming skills (VBA, C++, R, Phyton, SAS)

·        Excellent academic background, including a Master’s degree in Actuarial Sciences, Risk Management or STEM.

·        Excellent written and verbal communication in Italian and English

·        Results-oriented approach with keen attention to high quality and accuracy

 

Other desirable skills and experiences

·        Knowledge of other actuarial software including Prophet, Alfa and Python would be an asset.

·        Audit experience would be an asset.
