Job Summary:
This analysis role is part of our Americas Area team which is focused and aligned to provide insights around Area-level.
The analyst will play a key role in delivering against the team’s Area-level priorities and standardized products that include creating market and competitive intelligence insights, future trends and hot topic reports related to macroeconomic and geopolitical issues, strategic insights focused on Americas growth drivers such as EY Private, etc. and supporting the strategic initiatives of Americas.
The Area analyst will focus on:
Work on key Area projects and deliverables like the insight projects to support Americas Knowledge priorities and closely collaborate with Americas Knowledge leaders. These projects will also include working on automating and standardizing key elements of our products, which need relevant data analytics and Power BI skills. On selected projects there will be the opportunity to work across all Areas and also to closely collaborate with the KMs on a project to deliver an “one EYK” service to clients.
This role requires the ability to combine strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset with real-world perspective driven by an understanding of both clients’ experiences and broader marketplace drivers. A collaborative mindset is also crucial, as Analysts have a key role to play in supporting networks within their domain, sharing information across sectors, service lines, accounts and solutions, and using that information to further strengthen the quality of materials produced.
The Analyst will also work closely at times with knowledge specialists in other domains (e.g. in another sector or service line) to deliver on cross-sector / cross-service line topics and initiatives. This position also requires awareness and understanding of other EY Knowledge functional competencies and services to support integrated teaming and the coordinated delivery of an integrated knowledge plan to domain stakeholders and customers.
The analyst will also lead and participate in Insights Plus (fee for service) projects and responsible for the scoping and delivery of such projects.
Analysts work closely with the Domain Knowledge Leader, senior Domain Analyst and Knowledge Managers to support the domain’s leadership and other senior stakeholders, providing impactful research, analysis and insight to help EY differentiate itself in the marketplace.
This individual will be credible as a domain expert and will help to ensure the quality and delivery of outputs by knowledge staff located throughout the world to support the specific domain’s initiatives. They will also proactively consider opportunities to engage with other domains around issues of common interest and participate in cross-domain initiatives.
Key Requirements:
· Strong research and analytical skills and ability to develop a considered point of view. 2-5 years of experience in strategy, business analysis, industry research, management consulting or business performance, advising organizations across many sectors.
· Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and interfacing with stakeholders and internal customers at different levels of seniority.
· Willingness to build a network of internal contacts to help support domain and broader business objectives.
· Previous experience of working on databases such as Factiva, Oxford Economics and other databases in the public domain.
· Collaborative and able to work well as part of a geographically dispersed multidisciplinary and multicultural project team.
· Capable of putting individual projects/initiatives into a “big picture” context and credible experience working in a fast-moving, client-centric environment.
· Proficient in English with well-structured oral and written communications skills; able to explain difficult concepts in a clear, concise and graphic-rich style, using appropriate analytics and visualization tools.
· Ability to take ownership for delivering customized projects with a degree of autonomy; adept at leading several projects simultaneously.
· Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, Power BI. Good experience with large sets of data sets. Experience with data modelling, data analytics, and various data management tools is a plus.
· Comfortable with occasional travel and working flexible hours, across multiple time zones.
