Job description

SAP GTS Configuration Engineer, Tax (Global Trade) (Manager) (Multiple Positions), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Dallas, TX.

Help enterprise clients improve their computer systems, procedures, and design IT solutions for their usage of SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) software to make better global trade management and supply chain risk decisions and reduce the cost of managing cross-border trade risk. Work with clients to deliver sustainable, measurable results in transforming global trade programs, identifying and responding to global trade regulatory requirements, and/or mitigating the risk of global trade compliance. Plan, design, configure, implement, upgrade, and enhance client investments in SAP GTS. Develop trade preference, free-trade agreement, and free-trade zone strategies to reduce customs duties and taxes. Ensure appropriate trade controls are in place to minimize import and export management risks. Provide electronic integration services for client connectivity to U.S. and non-U.S. Customs brokers, agencies, and authorities. Manage and motivate teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Cultivate business development opportunities.

 

Full time employment, Monday– Friday,40hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field and 4 years of work experience. 

 

Must have 4 years of work experience in a professional services firm, or in-house at a company with global import/export operations.

 

Must have 4 years of experience working with SAP GTS setup, configuration, and implementation.

 

Must have 4 years of experience using EDI and XML file formats to map inbound/outbound processes.

 

Must have 4 years of experience configuring and updating customs-related Adobe forms.

 
Must have 4 years of experience with global customs, import and export topics including valuation, classification, country of origin, free-trade agreements, export controls, licensing, and trade sanctions.

 

Must have 2 years of experience in risk management and assessments. 

 

Must have 1 year of experience with supplier risk management related to trade matters.

 

Requires domestic travel up to 80% to serve client needs.
