Job description
The Project manager will be responsible for the following responsibilities.
· Manage multiple, simultaneous projects end-to-end (Proposal to Steady state operations)
· Plan, execute, monitor & control projects to successful closure
· Manage risks and issues in the project
· Analyze and manage stakeholder expectations
· Accountable for project deliverables and managing the project team
· Ensure that the projects adhere to the defined processes for project management
· Be aware of the objectives, benefits & success factors of the project and work towards achieving them
Client Responsibilities:
· Interact with customers to reach agreement on the project scope, time and cost
· Co-ordinate and liaise with Global counterparts for deployment
· Timely updates of the project status to all relevant stakeholders
· Timely escalation of risks to all stakeholders and derive an agreeable mitigation plan
· Deliver against the transition plans including infrastructure/application support models, change management, learning & communication deliverables
· Contribute to the business readiness plan, taking into consideration IT deployment, data migration, capability deployment (training and engagement activities) and any business activities required to integrate new processes or jobs into the ’business as usual’ environment
People Responsibilities:
· Good interpersonal skills to coordinate with various functions
· Build good relationship with business stakeholders
· Good understanding of the organization structure
Skills Requirements
Self-driven and highly motivated individual with 5 - 10 years of experience in the IT industry.
Should have at least 3 years’ experience in end-to-end IT Project Management in at least one of the following areas
· Software Development & Implementation
· Product Management
· Systems Integration
Should have excellent understanding and experience in industry standard PM methodologies like that of PMI’s – preferably a PMP certified professional – and should have
· Proven track record of managing Agile projects and teams
· Excellent understanding of IT infrastructure needs of software projects, with exposure to procurement
· Worked on global projects with team members spread across more than two countries – preferably in different time-zones.
· Excellent Client Relationship and Client expectation management skills
· Should have worked with global customers
· Should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Skilled in using MS Project, MS Visio and all MS Office Suite products
· Must have a very good eye for detail and be quality driven
· Should have good understanding of project finance – including rate cards, costing, billing, invoice tracking
