Personal Tax Senior – Compliance

The Opportunity

 

The Personal Tax Compliance team in Newcastle provides personal taxation services to thousands of clients, in the UK and overseas, dealing with the UK tax affairs of employees, directors, partners, high net worth and high-profile people.

Your Key Responsibilities

 

As a Personal Tax Senior, we would expect you to effectively manage your allocated portfolio of clients, helping to prepare their tax returns, provide ad hoc tax advice and help deal with HM Revenue enquiries as required.  You will also share technical knowledge and experience with colleagues, and you will coach and review the work of junior staff.  

You will build strong positive relationships with all your key stakeholders.  You will be expected to work with people within your team and also in other EY offices, which can be in the U.K. or overseas.

·  The ability to take your own initiative and work effectively alone as well as part of a team
·  Be able to coach and develop new trainees under your supervision 
·  Computer literacy and being willing to learn how to use new systems
·  Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate well to clients, and colleagues at all levels within your team and the wider department.
·  Demonstrated integrity within a professional environment
·  Ability to work flexibly when required

 

To qualify for the role you must have

·  At least three years relevant personal tax experience
·  Be part or fully ATT qualified
·  Eligible to work in the U.K.
