Your role of Senior Consultant will be to provide advisory/consulting services to Power & Utilities clients, resulting in increased value and efficiency. You’ll help to mentor, coach and counsel their team members and help EY to build an inclusive culture and high performing teams.

 
Your key responsibilities

The Oracle Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) Designer will primarily translate customer business requirements into high quality solution designs for Oracle Utility products.  It will also be responsible for verifying the result code meets the design requirements.
·  Understands the product technologies to be used and applies them appropriately
·  Using business process engineering techniques, develops technical solutions and management processes to achieve overall objectives by means of implementing solutions
·  Develops and recommends solutions and strategies, based on the analysis of customers’ requirements, business goals, objectives, needs and existing systems infrastructure 
·  Identifies additional product/services opportunities in customer organization
·  Viewed by customers as a consultant, and performance is typically measured by delivery of agreed solutions within budgeted hours
·  Works with the Architect and Project Manager to develop a budget for the external design effort
·  Assists customers to determine business needs and, where appropriate, promote EY’s services
·  Records and publishes detailed minutes of Discovery and Analysis sessions
·  Understands and documents business processes
·  Converts a customer requirement into a quality solution
·  Utilizes existing resources to produce designs
·  Writes pseudo code for complex logic (without writing the detailed code)
·  Develops detailed, task-orientated estimates to build and implement extensions or interfaces to the system
·  Owns the external design and provides support throughout the development and system/integration test phases
·  Increases the customers’ perception of the value of EY’s services; continuously works to improve customer service relations
·  Analyzes software requirements, defines solution parameters and specifications
·  Applies professional mastery and industry-wide understanding of technology, tools and methodologies to develop solutions in leading edge or critical situations
·  Anticipates future customer, industry and information technology trends

To qualify for the role, you must have
·  Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar field
·  2+ years experience in Oracle CC&B Utilities
·  Proficient in CC&B, Java, Cobol, Oracle Utilities Application Framework, and SQL Scripting
·  Software Development Lifecycle experience
·  Extensive experience in coding (Java, Cobol, SQL Scripting and CC&B Configuration Tools)
·  Extensive experience in technical design (familiarity with the different approaches and plug-in points)
·  Extensive experience in technical application, including comprehensive knowledge of the delivery process (configuration and code migration, code drops, fix migration lifecycle)
·  Experience in external design and requirements gathering to assist with the verification of new requirements from existing and new modules
·  Knowledge in testing phases and test scripting
·  Able to work independently with very minimal guidance (excluding business processes and client specific requirements
·  Strong analytic and decision-making abilities
·  Handle multiple assignments within a fast-paced environment with potential conflicting schedules
·  Positive, “can do” attitude and ability to work in a team environment
·  Ability to grasp new technology quickly
·  Strong interpersonal and communication skills
