ABOUT PROGRAM MERCURY

Program Mercury is a large, multi-year, enterprise-wide process transformation that will replace more than 1400 EY business systems and related processes with an integrated, SAP centric platform that will standardize and harmonize activities throughout the organization and significantly improve how EY manages its business. Program Mercury is a key enabler for EY, directly supporting the efforts of several transformation initiatives across the Firm by streamlining the application portfolio, reducing operating costs and providing a platform to deliver services more efficiently.

 

ABOUT THE MERCURY SUPPORT TEAM (MST)

As an organization jointly owned by the business and IT, the MST is a centralized and global organization which will provide operational support for the delivered Mercury solution and manage and support the Mercury user community. The MST will play an integral role in governance of the Mercury solution and the global template from both a business and IT perspective and will evolve to work closely with the business in enabling the benefit and value to be realized from the investment in Program Mercury and to set the future direction and technology road map to support EY vision.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Business Management Analyst is responsible for business management, providing support within a given functional team to ensure a high quality of service to our customers and support strategic needs of the MST. The services focus on the financial, resource and portfolio management. BMO services include the embedding of methods and processes within the service delivery teams.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In the Business Management Analyst role you will spend most of your time supporting finance and resource management processes. You will be primarily responsible for:

·  Monitoring and reporting on program/project financials
·  Monitoring people and technology within the Service Delivery function
·  Facilitate and support the annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and long range planning processes
·  Identifying, defining, developing and implementing improvements to project/financial reporting and monitoring processes and procedures
·  Work with ET Business Office and cross functional Business Managers to define the approach to tool requirements for delivering project/financial reporting and monitoring
·  Collaborate and build trusted and effective working relationships with members within the MST and other supporting functions
·  Assist with vendor management related processes
·  Drive innovation, speed and quality across the MST organization

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

·  Strong organizational skills with experience of managing processes
·  Ability to work in a high-pressure environment (either directly or indirectly)
·  Very good understanding of key performance indicators relevant for the role
·  Experience in working in a global environment and an ability to interact with different cultures
·  Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse audiences and influence multiple stakeholders
·  Strong client-service oriented communication, documentation, analytical, and presentation skills
·  Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job and use critical thinking and problem-solving skills
·  Strong expertise of Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and SharePoint
·  Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel is required, including the use of formulas, creation of pivot tables, vlookup and advanced financial functions

EDUCATION

·  Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline

EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

·  3+ years of experience in business management, project management or a related discipline is desirable but not required, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
·  Demonstrates ability to define and manage processes
·  Understanding of project management concepts and principles
·  Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid changes
·  Ability to work and team with a multitude of different people to balance demands
·  Ability to deal efficiently with escalations and difficult situations/people under pressure
·  Outstanding management, interpersonal, communication, organizational and decision-making skills
·  Ability to work independently in a global organization within the context of a virtual team
·  English language skills - excellent written and verbal communication
