Job Description – BMCA – Supervising Associate - Digital Content Editor
key responsibilities:
Responsible for developing, editing, optimizing and publishing content for our website, ey.com/en_us, so that it delivers against our new editorial strategy and meets our quality criteria. He/she will actively partner with marketers around the world, advising them on how best to bring their content to life, and then helping them to polish and publish their content in a way that enhances our brand, serves users and drives site engagement.
Responsibilities :
· Be the main point of contact with BMC stakeholders seeking to publish content on EY.com, working with them from topic ideation through to page build and optimization.
· Act as the liaison between stakeholders and the page builder team, including:
· Ensuring stakeholder requests are clear and executable
· Reformatting content to fit EY.com page template standards (copy deck creation) and be easily applied/executed by the page building team
· Coordinating with stakeholders and team members to ensure pages are built on time according to stakeholders’ deadlines and team SLA.
· Ensure content published on EY.com is top quality, including:
· Taking long-form or offline content and editing it to be digitally optimized
· Editing copy decks submitted by stakeholders to ensure content is digitally friendly, high quality, brand-compliant and topical
· Conducting quality assurance on draft pages to ensure pages are error-free and meeting stakeholder demands.
· Strategize and execute internal in-bound linking and calls to action on page, ensuring next-best actions are included and functional (ex: forms, read-on articles, etc.)
· Review analytics to incorporate best practices and make recommendations for content optimization/development.
· Review content and suggest how best to optimize for SEO performance,including conducting keyword research, and editing/writing page titles, meta descriptions, h-tags and body content.
· Make edits to existing pages within the Content Management System and have strong knowledge of the components and guidelines governing them in order to guide stakeholders on best page layout and set up.
· Understand website taxonomy and ensure new content is tagged effectively
· Keep abreast on new functionality and/or any process changes that are implemented by the central web governance team; remain up to date on any changes to SEO approach established by major search engines.
· Inform the clients/stakeholders as needed for any pending changes or functionality to improve webpages and lead the change
· Create and manage a publishing calendar; Create and manage a publishing calendar to ensure resources are available to publish content on time Collaborate with stakeholders, designers and approvers to ensure content is published on time
Technical Skills
· Understand the offerings of AEM CMS to suggest the right templates and modules to the stakeholders for the achievement of their marketing purpose
· Demonstrate exceptional project coordination skills
· Be professional, confident and enthusiastic; adapt to flexible work timings; demonstrate exceptional work ethic and customer focus
· Familiar with content management systems
· Must have experience and be comfortable working closely with global teams
Skills and attributes for success
· Write/edit web copy that’s engaging, brand-compliant and search engine-optimized
· Advise senior stakeholders on the best way to shape their ideas into compelling content that has a distinct point of view and adds value to the target audience
· Advocate for digital best practices and how to use different content types/formats and design elements to create effective, engaging user experiences
· Make decisions throughout a project that balance the need to meet a deadline and still meet the original requirements of the project
· Work independently to complete multiple tasks within a fast-paced environment
To qualify for the role you must have
· Excellent US English written and verbal communication skills, with an understanding of how messages may be received globally
· Strong understanding of digital publishing and best practices
· Strong knowledge of SEO relating to content development
· Experience working within a content management system to create outstanding digital experiences
· Strong influencing skills
· Strong project and time management ability
