The opportunity:

The EY Design Studio is a rapidly growing and highly motivated design team in Toronto, and we are looking for a Manager, User Interface Design to join us. 

 

Your key responsibilities
·  Your craft: You lead a team of designers from project conceptualization to completion, with a focus on design. You often oversee several projects at a time ensuring all projects meet the highest level of professionalism. 
·  Bonus: You often lead the design requirements of new business pitches. 
·  Your specialty: You live and breathe all things design within the Studio. 
·  Your leadership: You train and mentor Design Leads. 
·  You report to the Executive Creative Director

 

To qualify for the role you must have

Education:  
·  Degree in interaction design, human-computer interaction, fine arts, graphic design, digital media design, or advertising/portfolio school

 

Experience:
·  8 years of experience working on complex software or transactional or ecommerce experiences, with medium to large-sized teams, preferably in a cross disciplinary digital agency
·  2+ years team management experience
·  Ability to design and facilitate workshops with senior-level clients
·  Experienced in both agile and waterfall methodologies
·  Proficient in scoping and estimating UI Design tasks
·  Expert knowledge of all steps required in the creative development process

 

Job Specific:
·  Direct the creation and implementation of design concepts, design systems, presentation decks and storyboards
·  You are experienced in mobile app design, and familiar with Google Material Design and Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines
·  You oversee asset creation, production, photo retouching and enhancements
·  Partner with team members to ensure projects meet objectives
·  Prepare for, and lead, workshops/brainstorming sessions
·  Participate in new business initiatives
·  You develops tools to improve internal processes
·  You are a client-facing representative for design-related presentations
·  Ensure deadlines, timetables and approval procedures are adhered to
·  QAs work for consistency, accuracy and functionality
