IT Advisor, Insurance / Systems Implementation (Underwriting) - Financial Services Office (Manager)(Multiple Positions), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Chicago, IL.
Transform functional requirements into Information Technology (IT) system specifications for insurance industry clients. Collaborate with clients to define technical specifications and integration requirements to integrate with internal and external IT systems. Design and develop high-level technical requirements for new development and enhancements of insurance applications, products, and services. Create data mapping extracts to map data flow from the source IT system to the legacy and vendor IT systems. Manage and motivate teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Cultivate business development opportunities.
Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 – 45 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Industrial Administration, Business, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience defining business and technical requirements.
Alternatively, will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Industrial Administration, Business, or related field and 4 years of work experience defining business and technical requirements.
Must have 3 years of experience at a financial services company or comparable experience working as an advisor to a financial services company.
Must have 3 years of experience working at or advising for a property and casualty insurance carrier.
Must have 4 years of experience working with a team of technology advisors through all phases of the technology life cycle, including requirements definition, architecture design, conversion, and testing.
Must have 4 years of experience researching client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies.
Must have 4 years of experience with all of the following: - Technical requirements definition - Systems and technology solution selection - System integration - Data mapping - IT process reengineering - Program/project management and implementation planning (PMO)
Must have 3 years of experience with all of the following: Management reporting; Insurance core business system implementation; Enterprise application integration; and Agile software development.
Must have 4 years of experience in a combination of the following: Guidewire, OneShield, Exigen, MajescoMastek, or Duck Creek. .
Must have 2 years of experience implementing Duck Creek
Requires travel up to 80%, of which 20% may be international, in order to meet client needs.
