The Document Design Specialist:
Produces comprehensive, creative and brandcompliant designs as well as consistent layouts for printable or electronic client deliverables / files (presentations, flyers, brochures, reports etc.). Performs basic conceptualization of ideas as basis for individual layouts. Manages routine design projects from concept through production, effectively prioritizes work and can work on time-critical requests. Very good communication skills (in English) for an efficient collaboration with the Project Management Team in Germany are required.
Functions and responsibilities
• Develops creative designs and innovative ideas for client deliverables.
• Ensures brand compliance of all deliverables.
• Effectively creates layouts with strong typography and appropriate use of color, images and fonts, allowing good readability.
• Effectively utilizes styles, master pages and templates.
• Remains up-to-date with graphic software tools and equipment required of the position, such as PowerPoint (most important), Word, Excel, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat etc.
• Works with internal software add-ins to create tailor-made and brand compliant output.
• Maintains awareness of 'state-of-the-art' techniques, equipment, best practices and developments within the design community.
• Relates design work to the clients’ business needs and specific instructions.
• Understands, implements, and strictly adheres to the quality standards and procedures established by EY, including CDS standards and guidelines.
• May cross-train in additional design disciplines to provide flexibility during peak times.
Experience
• Approximately 2 years of related document design & formatting experience
Skills and attributes
• Professional skills in MS PowerPoint and Word
• Skilled in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
• Fluent communication in English, combined with interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Relentless focus on the customer service
• Excellent work ethic and the ability to perform in a deadline-driven environment
• Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work efficiently and effectivelyA Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject is a plus
