The opportunity

You’ll be applying advanced analytics,data management,and business intelligence techniques to solve problems for our clients within our Financial Services Organization. You won’t just be researching and delivering data, you’ll be understanding and defining problems then making actionable plans based on analysis that lead to visible improvements. You will help with designing data management and reporting solutions, undertaking proof-of-concepts, and implementing these solutions to help clients to compete effectively in this dynamic environment. You will be part of diverse teams of professionals across different geographies, on a global scale, to deliver a wide range of big data solutions, using visual analytics and next generation technologies to solve complex issues and drive growth across Financial Services. As you progress, you’ll become a trusted expert with high-level technical prowess, as well as the business and relationship management skills required to become an impactful consultant. It’s a highly sought-after skillset, which provides plenty of ways to develop your career according to your own ambitions.

 

What to expect

This is a client-facing role, so you’ll be directly embedded in our clients’ offices, learning all about their cultures, goals and challenges. You’ll be spending your time helping clients understand what data is needed for analysis, where it is found, in what context it will be provided, and in what form. You’ll then have the unique opportunity to take this analysis and showcase your innovative and creative thinking by recommending an actionable solution. You’ll evolve into an analytical consultant in the Financial Services Organization while building your client and team management skills.

·  Collating information and using your expertise to give clear and meaningful guidance
·  Building and maintaining lasting relationships with customers and colleagues at all levels
·  Continually following current business, industry and competitor trends to identify, communicate and react to potential risks and opportunities
·  Further developing and applying your technical skills to address business problems
·  Supporting colleagues and nurturing an innovative and inclusive culture that always puts people first
·  Meeting regularly with clients to discover their needs, discuss project progress and manage expectations

 

To qualify for the role you’ll need

·  Progress towards a master’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Management, Computer Science, Mathematics or Computer Engineering, supported by a strong academic record
·  Technology expertise, ideally developed in a financial services environment, as well as strong interpersonal skills
·  Working knowledge of code driven reports and data analyses that may include identification and integration of data from a variety of sources, assessment of data quality and its potential impacts, development of scripts for, and design of executive-level reports and dashboards
·  The ability to demonstrate some familiarity of relational database management system design and development, key-value stores, and/or data visualization
·  Knowledge in data analytics, data governance, data quality, data management and/or business intelligence is considered an asset
·  Excellent communication skills, and the confidence to influence senior people
·  Deep understanding of Financial Services and experience in this industry a plus
·  Great organization, and experience of prioritizing effectively while working on multiple projects
·  The desire to continually pick up new skills and stay educated on the latest focuses and methodologies
·  An analytical approach to work and a flair for solving problems with often ambiguous root causes
·  The ability to translate complex information into non-technical, easy to understand language
·  A driver’s license valid in the U.S.

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

·  Proficiency in one or more of the following domains: compliance, operations, finance, risk, and customer service
·  An understanding of programming languages and experience in tools/language/frameworks within the Big Data & cloud ecosystem
·  An understanding of R, C, Java, Python or other programming languages and associated machine learning libraries/packages
·  Experience in tools/language/frameworks within the Big Data & cloud ecosystem (Hadoop, MongoDB, Neo4j, Spark, Hive, Hbase, Cassandra, etc.)
·  Experience with Deep Learning frameworks (Tensorflow, Keras, CNTK, Café, Torch, or Theano)A high energy and desire to please clients and teams
