Job description
  Actuarial - Staff    
 
    Job purpose    
 
·  Analyze and reconcile data correctly for projects assigned. Identify and highlight unreasonable data and correct as necessary. 
·  Develop claim liability reserves through IBNR model using claims and membership data. 
·  Perform in-depth reasonableness analysis and confirm accuracy of assumptions. 
·  Document, create summary reports in order to communicate results to internal management. Archive results of each analysis performed, once complete. 
·  Demonstrate the ability to perform previously assigned tasks and projects with minimal supervision and maintain quality and accuracy. 
·  To check the accuracy and reasonability of work. 
·  Ability to perform analysis and complete tasks, while maintaining quality of work product during extremely time sensitive deadlines. 
·  Ability to effectively manage team discipline, motivation and morale. 
·  Maintain the integrity amongst the team members. 
·  Perform ah-hoc research and development requests as required.  
 
 
   Technical skills requirements    
 
·  A Bachelor's or Master's degree with an emphasis in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related financial field 
·  CT series (All papers) 
·  2-4 years at staff level and hands-on on Data analysis 
·  Hands on P&C liability estimation experience 
·  Proficient in MS-Office, Excel, Actuarial software - ARIUS (knowledge of ARIUS will be an added advantage) 
·  Familiarity with Visual Basic programming.
