Financial Services Risk Management Advisor, Enterprise Controls Transformation - Financial Services Office (Manager) (Multiple Positions) , Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, New York, NY.
Focus on helping domestic and global institutions with issues focused on Banking and Capital Markets Front Office control design, effectiveness and optimization, taking a data-driven approach to problem solving in support of our client’s business strategies. Contribute to the generation of new business opportunities for the Enterprise Controls Transformation practice to develop long-term client relationships, understand the changing business and regulatory environment, and actively assess and present ways to serve clients. Develop client proposals, project approach, work plans, resource estimates, and cost estimates on client opportunities and pursuits. Recommend ways to control or reduce risk. Document, and ensure communication of, key risks and associated controls. Analyze areas of potential risk to the assets, earning capacity, or success of organizations and mitigating controls.
Manage and motivate teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Cultivate business development opportunities.
Full time employment, Monday– Friday,40hours per week
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience with one or a combination of the following:
- Internal controls covering risk management, regulatory reporting, or financial reporting in the financial services industry with either a consulting firm or internal consulting organization; or
- Risk management, independent testing of controls/Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), internal audit, or product control functions at a leading financial services corporation
Alternatively, must have a Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field and 4 years of work experience with one or a combination of the following:
- Internal controls covering risk management, regulatory reporting, or financial reporting in the financial services industry with either a consulting firm or internal consulting organization; or
- Risk management, independent testing of controls/Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), internal audit, or product control functions at a leading financial services corporation
Must have 3 years of experience in Front Office sales and trading control environment, including controls design, trade surveillance and sales practices/market abuse/conduct risk monitoring by one or a combination of the following:
- Trade life cycle and key controls and reconciliations, including transaction capture, aggregation/consolidation, and financial and regulatory reporting.
- Developing and maintaining a risk management control framework and/or performing internal control reviews.
- Regulatory remediation and implementation of regulations.
Requires travel up to 60%, including international, to meet client needs.
