Financial Accounting Advisory Services (all levels), Copenhagen
København (Københavns Kommune) Teaching
Job description
At EY, you’ll have the chance to build a career as unique as you are, with the global scale, support, inclusive culture and technology to become the best version of you. And we’re counting on your unique voice and perspective to help EY become even better, too. Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself, and a better working world for all.
Do you want to be part of one of the World’s leading consultancies? Do you have a positive “can-do” attitude and a problem-solving mindset? Then you could be our new colleague in the Financial Accounting Advisory Services team!
The opportunity
We are currently ramping up our Financial Accounting Advisory Service (FAAS) team in Denmark and are looking for team members on all levels (about to graduate, newly graduated, a few or many years of experience) to join us in our Copenhagen office.
FAAS main focus areas are:
· Finance support services
· Accounting and reporting
· IPO and Capital markets
· Transaction accounting
· Systems and processes
· Data analytics for reporting
FAAS addresses the CFO’s agenda and provides CFOs, controllers, treasurers and audit committees with insight and services to support compliance with evolving financial requirements and help provide transparency and trust in reporting to support better decision-making. We also help to support finance functions with robust financial data analytics and innovation through our tools.
In the coming years we expect to grow our FAAS business due to our highly skilled people and an expanding market. While we do work in a fast-paced environment, we offer flexible hours making it possible to have a healthy work-life balance.
Your key responsibilities
The nature of this role means no two projects will be the same. That means you’ll need to think on your feet and challenge existing practices to develop answers to complex issues. You’ll also be collaborating with colleagues across EY, so we’ll look to you to build relationships and identify opportunities for our clients to benefit from our knowledge in other areas.
Skills and attributes for success
· Consulting with clients on accounting issues
· Collaborating with colleagues and clients to influence strategy, balancing risk and client expectations
· Ensuring our Engagement team understands our clients’ unique needs, ambitions and expectations
· Building relationships with colleagues across multiple service lines to provide seamless integrated service
· Managing performance and identifying opportunities to improve our products and processes
To qualify for the role, you must have
· The confidence to research and resolve emerging client issues, including regulations, industry practices and new technologies
· Strong technical writing skills
· Understanding of the marketplace, processes and tools
· Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
· Professional proficiency in English
Ideally, you’ll also have
· A bachelor or master's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics or related discipline
· Audit or other accounting experience
What we look for
You are ambitious, outgoing and have a positive attitude. You see the potential and opportunities instead of problems. You thrive in a high-paced environment and working on more than one engagement at a time doesn’t scare you.
You are capable of presenting complex issues in a simple way, you work well in teams as well as on your own, and you take responsibility for your tasks and goals. You support your colleagues wherever possible and see the benefit in investing in the relationship to both the team and our clients alike.
We’re interested in versatile people with the ability to take on new responsibilities and listen to clients to get things done. We’re not just looking for technical accounting experience — we’re after genuinely interesting people with the ability to build relationships, negotiate and think in unique and creative news ways. If you’re confident with a curious mind and the ability to solve complex issues, this role is for you.
What we offer
· Continuous learning: We’ll support you in developing the mindset and skills to navigate whatever comes next
· Success as defined by you: We’ll provide the tools and flexibility, so you can make a meaningful impact, your way

· Support, coaching and feedback : The most engaging colleagues in the industry will support and coach you as well as provide regularly constructive feedback
If the above sounds interesting, please send your application as soon as possible as we will evaluate applications on an ongoing basis. If you have any questions you are welcome to contact Anders Warming at anders.warming@dk.ey.com.
