The opportunity
Within EY's Assurance service line, Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) professionals provide advisory services encompassing accounting and regulatory support on accounting change and special matters; accounting processes and controls support; GAAP conversion and implementation; on call financial reporting advice; and transaction accounting and financial reporting assistance.
Your key responsibilities
· Collaborate with the Managers and the Partner to execute a FAAS strategy that satisfies high client expectations, support the planning, execution and delivery of the engagements
· Contribute actively in the FAAS engagement team to understand and respond to the client's needs and expectations and develop a client-focused, clear, accurate and well-presented work product
· Ensure work is delivered in a timely manner and in compliance with EY high standard requirements
· Work with other service lines and subject matter experts in providing an integrated service delivery across functions in an international team to meet the client high expectations.
· Identify and communicate relevant trends, developments and key performance drivers relevant to the client and its industry.
· Assist in developing new opportunities related to new FAAS projects and relationships.
Skills and attributes for success
· Ability to conduct independent economic research and apply fundamental economic theory to clients’ issues
· Knowledge of key macroeconomic trends and policy issues as well as the ability to conduct economic analyses related to these factors as required
· Ability and flexibility to work alongside team members to ensure the timely completion of work deliverables, and manage time spent against budget
To qualify for the role you must have
· University degree with specialization in accounting, finance or related field
· Ideally 2-4 years of experience in audit, consultancy, accounting services or in a large and dynamic organizations in or around the finance field (big4 experience is preferred)
· Knowledge of business trends, emerging technical and industry developments
· Involvement in accounting areas such as transaction accounting GAAP conversions and accounting change implementation
· Analytical mindset and an interest in strong technical accounting skills in IFRS
· Proactive, flexible and team-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
· Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Hungarian
Ideally, you’ll also have
· The ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic team-oriented environment
