EY-Data & Analytics – Consulting – Staff – Azure Data Engineer

As part of our EY-DnA team, you will help clients in developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality. Working with latest tools available in the market you will help clients by acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems and help to identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.

Using your expertise in data analytics you will help our clients to view data in context and make smarter business decisions to achieve improved products and services.

We’re looking for Consultant with expertise in Azure Data Skills to join our dynamic Consulting DnA Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth of a new service offering.

Your key responsibilities

·  Need to work as a team member to contribute in various technical streams of Azure project.
·  Provide product and design level technical best practices
·  Interface and communicate with the onsite coordinators
·  Completion of assigned tasks on time and regular status reporting to the lead
·  Building a quality culture
·  Foster teamwork and lead by example
·  Training and mentoring of project resources
·  Participating in the organization-wide people initiatives

Skills and attributes for success

·  Knowledge and experience in SQL Server
·  Experience with Microsoft Azure services like:
·  ADLS
·  Azure SQL
·  Azure Synapse
·  Azure Databricks
·  Azure Data factory
·  Logic apps/functions app
·  Should have understanding and experience of software development best practices
·  Strong experience of data migration from On-Prem to Azure Cloud environment
·  Good understanding of Spark and HDFS
·  Experience is schedulers like Airflow, Nifi etc.
·  Good exposure and implementation experience in Datalake, Datawarehouse
·  Excellent programming knowledge in Python, .Net etc.
·  Experience in setting up & configuring Azure Virtual Machines
·  Configuring Self-hosted integration runtime servers
·  Experience in NoSQL database eg.Azure Cosmos DB
·  Experience in Azure infrastructure sizing & cost optimization
·  Exposure to Azure monitor & log analytics
·  Knowledge on Dockers & containers
·  Experience in Azure DevOps for CI/CD, repository and deployment
·  Experience/Knowledge in Azure PowerShell & Azure functions
·  Knowledge in configuring network/firewall between on-premise and Azure platform
·  Exposure to Azure Cognitive services
·  Experience in implementing real time streaming using Kafka, EventHub, stream analytics, IoT Hub etc.,
·  Experience in implementing Data Governance – Cataloguing, Lineage, Security etc., Azure + ADF + Synapse + Databricks + Spark + DWH + SQL

To qualify for the role, you must have

·  BE/BTech/MCA with adequate industry experience
·  Should be at least around 2-6 years of experience in Azure Cloud
·  Flexible and proactive/self-motivated working style with strong personal ownership of problem resolution.
·  Excellent communicator (written and verbal formal and informal).

Ideally, you’ll also have

·  Client management skills
·  Good verbal and written communication in English, Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
·  Experience of interacting with customers in understanding business requirement documents and translating them into technical specifications and High- and Low-level design documents.
