EY-Data & Analytics – Consulting –  Azure Data Engineer with NiFi

As part of our EY-DnA team, you will help clients in developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality. Working with latest tools available in the market you will help clients by acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems and help to identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.

Using your expertise in data analytics you will help our clients to view data in context and make smarter business decisions to achieve improved products and services.

The opportunity

We’re looking for Senior Consultant with expertise in Azure Data Skills to join our dynamic Consulting DnA Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth of a new service offering.

Your key responsibilities

·  Need to work as a team member to contribute in various technical streams of Azure project.
·  Provide product and design level technical best practices
·  Interface and communicate with the onsite coordinators
·  Completion of assigned tasks on time and regular status reporting to the lead
·  Building a quality culture
·  Foster teamwork and lead by example
·  Training and mentoring of project resources
·  Participating in the organization-wide people initiatives

Skills and attributes for success

·  Knowledge and experience in Java technologies
·  Experience with Microsoft Azure services like:
·  Azure SQL
·  Azure Databricks
·  Azure Data factory
·  Azure Synapse
·  Logic apps/functions app
·  Should have good understanding and experience of software development best practices
·  Good understanding of Spark Framework(v2.5+), HDFS, Hadoop, Hive, Atlas and HDF
·  Experience in implementing real time streaming using Kafka, MQ, MiNiFi or other streaming technologies
·  Must have 4+ yrs hands on experience with creating process workflows (such as data ingestion, transformation.) using HDF or Core NiFi (1.9 and above)
·  Excellent programming knowledge in Python with integration to Spark (e.g. PySpark)
·  Experience in writing Java code to build custom processors in NiFi
·  Experience in setting up & configuring Azure Virtual Machines
·  Experience in performance optimization
·  Good Knowledge on Dockers & containers
·  Experience in Azure DevOps for CI/CD, repository and deployment

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

·  BE/BTech/MCA with 6+ years of industry experience
·  Should be at least around 3+ years of experience in Azure Cloud
·  Should be at least around 2+ years of experience working with Ni-Fi
·  Flexible and proactive/self-motivated working style with strong personal ownership of problem resolution.
·  Excellent communicator (written and verbal formal and informal).

Ideally, you’ll also have

·  Client management skills
·  Good verbal and written communication in English, Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
·  Experience of interacting with customers in understanding business requirement documents and translating them into technical specifications and High- and Low-level design documents.
