About the Government and Public Sector practice (GPS)

From strategy to execution, the Government & Public Sector (GPS) practice of EY provides a full range of consulting and broader services to help our Federal, Provincial and broader public sector clients implement new ideas to help achieve their mission outcomes. To effectively deliver value for money and support stakeholders to achieve benefits, governments and businesses and public sector (GPS) need efficient finance functions that meet the complex needs of their operations. 

We are seeking Staff Consultants within our Transformation Architecture service line. 

As a Transformation Architecture professional, you'll work with business and government leaders to provide insights into technological transformation. Through formal and on the job training, and experience of working with a range of global organizations, we'll help you achieve your potential. We are currently seeking Staff Consultants to join our GPS consulting practice. As a member of the Transformation Architecture team, you will work with government and public sector clients to support large scale transformations of strategy, business and operating models, cost and performance. Key areas of focus include:

·  Transformation management,
·  Strategy setting and planning
·  Business and operating model development and implementation
·  Benchmarking, market study, and jurisdictional analysis
·  Scenario planning and analysis
·  Innovation strategy
·  Cost reduction, management, optimization

Responsibilities

·  Establish strong relationships with clients and consistently deliver quality client service.
·  Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure stakeholders are informed about progress and expected outcomes.
·  Conduct research and remain current on industry trends relevant to our clients’ business.
·  Demonstrate strong business acumen and an ability and interest in continuous learning and, incorporate new knowledge in the work environment. 
·  Improve clients' efficiency and effectiveness through the design of their operations, processes, information technology and business functions
·  Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis
·  Seek opportunities for development and be open to feedback.

Qualifications 

·  An undergraduate or graduate degree in business, public administration, engineering, computer science, information systems, or another related degree
·  Relevant industry experience is a differentiator
·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·  Proficient in MS Office, including MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint 
·  Tech savviness – willingness to learn how to use relevant tools/software, as needed
·  Demonstrated project management, teaming, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
·  Demonstrated integrity, values, principles, and work ethic
·  Willingness and ability to learn and work independently with minimal supervision
·  Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines
·  Integrity within a professional environment
·  Applicants must have already graduated and be available to start within the next few months 
·  Successful candidates must be available to travel, when safe, within and outside of Canada and work additional hours when necessary
·  A willingness to travel to meet client needs (when it is safe); The GPS practice is national, and travel may be required in the future for work outside of your office location
