EY Technology supports our technology needs through three business units:

Client Technology (CT) - focuses on developing new technology services for our clients. It enables EY to identify new technology-based opportunities faster and pursue those opportunities more rapidly.
Enterprise Technology (ET) – ET supports our Core Business Services functions and will deliver fit-for-purpose technology infrastructure at the most affordable possible cost for quality services. ET will also support our internal technology needs by focusing on a better user experience.
Information Security (Info Sec) - Info Sec prevents, detects, responds and mitigates cyber-risk, protecting EY and client data, and our information management systems.   

 

The opportunity

The overall purpose of the Risk Management Leader is to enable Enterprise Technology (ET) to manage the overall risk within ET. This individual will work closely with Info Sec to manage all risk and compliance within ET. This individual will lead other risk coordinators across ET to effectively and efficiently consolidate, communicate and manage the risk posture of ET.  
As a member of the BO team, you are responsible for ensuring ET is maintaining a proactive risk culture and is appropriately responding to risks whether security or compliance related.  You will aid the organization in understanding the importance of making risk-aware business decisions by supporting risk and security education and reporting. You will also be critical to strengthening our risk and security position.

Your key responsibilities

Under direct supervision of the ET BO lead the Risk and Compliance Lead is responsible for:

Responsibilities: 

o    Accountable for the execution of risk management strategy
o    Oversee risk identification and assessment
o    Responsible for defining risk standards and methodologies
o    Responsible for risk performance governance function
o    Accountable for developing and managing the data protection strategy
o    Coordinating and managing overall Audit schedule
o    Supporting ET teams to work with wider IT Services functions in response to security and risk driven matters that require cross-functional engagement.
o    Management of operational responsibilities regarding risk and security controls, standards, policies and procedures
o    Responsible for embedding risk-aware culture and executing on EY Technology Risk Management goals 
o    Continual assessment of current risk profile and execution against established risk and security policies and procedures
o    Leverages knowledge and understanding of risk impacts related to vulnerabilities, including potential exploits and threats to prioritize and balance response and mitigation plans
o    Facilitates the education of ET leadership on appropriate mitigation strategies and approaches.
o    Inclusion of risk activities in the operating model, services, roles & responsibilities, governance, go-forward plan
o    Leveraging a matrix based team of geographically dispersed people to manage risk, drive improvement programs and management reporting accurately and within budget.

o    A valid passport required; willingness and ability to travel internationally

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

o    College degree technology or risk management field (Computer Science, Risk Management, etc.) or comparable job experience 
o    Demonstrated experience in risk management, audit and compliance (ITIL, COBIT, ISO certifications)
o    Demonstrated interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills with the ability to lead groups and programs

 

What we look for

o    Prior leadership role managing a risk governance or compliance organization in professional services or consulting industry preferred but not required
o    5+ years developing teams in risk related fields, with minimum five (2) years experience in a technology organization
o    Experience planning and implementing risk responses
