The opportunity

 

As an Application Specialist (f/m) you perform operational and Tier 3 level support for Windows Server hosted Applications. Your responsibilities involve the daily management of incidents, operational maintenance and support, engineering/development support, and proactive/preventative analysis of systems.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

·  Re-creation, analysis, troubleshooting, and diagnosis of incidents relating to off-the-shelf and proprietary applications and/or platforms
·  Determination of root cause of incidents (configuration vs. defect)
·  Liaison with appropriate teams for the development of corrective actions or viable workarounds to resolve incidents
·  Installation of applications in supported environments
·  Deployment of application upgrades and fixes
·  Responding to automated alerts on the health of systems
·  Executing scheduled or unscheduled tasks relating to operational maintenance and monitoring of applications

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

·  Experience in installation and configuration of DATEV modules on a Citrix XenApp environment
·  Knowledge of administration and troubleshooting of DATEV modules
·  Knowledge of DATEV administration: including permissions, users/groups, methods, processes, etc.
·  DATEV experience in supporting DATEV modules

 

To qualify for the role you must have

 

·  A degree in Computer Science/Management or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
·  At least 3 years of experience in Application Management, Operational Support environment/discipline
·  Advanced troubleshooting of file and access issue
·  Knowledge of root cause analysis of bugs and defects
·  Basic server management and networking skills
·  Ability to lead project activities and to coordinate other teams as needed
·  Ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team structure, but also independently
·  Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
·  Ability to meet agreed deadlines, with demonstrable productivity (Incident Completions etc.)
·  English and German language skills - excellent written and verbal communication

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

 

·  Azure technologies
·  Implementation of big scale applications
·  Development knowledge
·  DevOps
·  Basic PowerShell Knowledge
·  Basic Knowledge of Software Distribution Tools, preferably Ghost/Altiris

·  Someone who can take care of the DATEV support, maintaining the relationship with the business and the different stake holders on the vendor side.
·  Capable of dealing with incidents, changes, and service request for this complex application.
