We are currently seeking Data engineers with a proven background and experience in dealing with one or more areas of data analytics and are especially interested in candidates with experience implementing innovative solutions with real-world data. The ideal candidate will have technical experience in building scalable distributed software on the cloud and at scale to transform enterprise business processes.

 

While we focus a lot on banks, insurance companies and FinTechs, the group will have opportunities to support other sectors also including healthcare, automotive, high-tech, and media. We are looking for talented engineers, we will teach domain knowledge as needed for the right candidates.

 

 

Your Key Responsibilities

 

 

We’re looking for a Data Engineer who can:

·  Design and build data analysis pipelines and services
·  Build and deploy data models to production environments
·  Work with data scientists, frontend and backend engineers to develop cutting edge data centric applications

Skills and attributes for success

·  Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
·  Ability to travel in accordance with client and other job requirements
·  Excellent written and oral communication skills; writing, publishing and conference-level presentation skills a plus

To qualify for the role you must have

·  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
·  A minimum of 3 years’ experience in technology or a similar role
·  2+ years’ experience deploying data models in a production setting
·  Experience in Java, Python, R or Scala. (Production level coding)
·  Capability to architect highly scalable distributed data pipelines using open source tools and big data technologies such as Hadoop, HBase, Spark, Storm, ELK, etc.
·  Familiar with at least one Machine Learning library/framework (scikit-learn, Mahoot, MLib, H2o, etc.). Proficiency in a deep learning framework is plus (Tensorflow, Keras, Theano, MXNet, etc.)
·  Experience of designing scalable solutions with proficiency in use of data structures and algorithms
·  Experience in cloud-based environment with PaaS & IaaS
·  Work iteratively in a team with continuous collaboration

Ideally, you’ll also have

·  Experience with the following technologies
·  Tableau, QlickView
·  Kafka/RabbitMQ
·  ElasticSearch
·  Knowledge of the full Hadoop ecosystem including HDFS, MapReduce, YARN, Pig, Hive, HBase, Spark, Zookeeper, Oozie, Flume, Spark, Storm, etc.
·  Data streaming technologies such as Spark streaming and Flink.
·  Experience with SQL, NoSQL RDBMS (such as MongoDB, Cassandra, SQL, Neo4J) design, and methods for efficiently retrieving data.
·  Desire to grow and learn other parts of the technology stack.
