The project
This open role is for an integrated data platform that allows different service lines to perform various data management activities including onboard data, perform data ingestion, data processing, mapping to centralized taxonomy and then consume data for their respective product offering needs to support their clients. There is also potential to collaborate on additional platforms and offerings within the Client Technology group.
The selected candidate
· Develops components of data governance architecture enablement, composed of workflows, policies, rules or standards that govern various domains defined, taxonomy and classification of the domain, enabling the data models and ensuring governance policies are applied to address business requirements
· Collaborates across the business to understand data governance and modeling requirements and helps define and deliver governance solutions that will deliver business value
Your key responsibilities include
· Contributing to the development of data architecture for the enterprise by developing the models and standards by which data is sourced, stored, distributed and governed
· Contributing to the design of solutions that will catalog, organize and store data domain taxonomy for business to access, manage and consume
· Provides support to the upkeep of data dictionaries, source data mapping and linkage to efficiently track business and technical lineage of the data end to end (from Source to Service line consumption)
· Performing due diligence to confirm the developed solution complies with architectural design
· Coordinating across multidisciplinary teams to understand data requirements and recommending internal process improvements
· Maintaining and contributing to data management standards to promote optimization and consistency
Skills and attributes for success
· Data Governance & Catalog management – Capabilities to apply governance and enable governance to data taxonomy, collaborate with business to maintain enriched data definitions, document policies and provide requirements to technical teams to enable policies. Enable integration between the business domain repository and technical assets
· Enterprise Content Management - Capability to define solutions that will catalog, organize and store an organization's internal unstructured information, e.g. word documents, emails etc.
· Master, Reference and Meta Data Management - Capabilities to develop solutions that define the master data (internal glossary of key data items), the reference data (external glossary of standard data items and values) and meta data (the data that describes the data set)
· Data Architecture and Design - Capability to define the models and standards by which data is sourced, stored, distributed and governed within an organization
Intermediate understanding of the following tools and technologies, and how to apply them to solve business problems

· Cloud Computing : Azure, Cloud Architecture
· Data Access Tools: Azure Data Explorer, Azure Stream Analytics, MS SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Developer

Education
· B.S. in Actuarial, Behavior Economics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, Econometrics, Engineering, IT, or related field preferred
