The opportunity

Converged Hardware Support Engineer will play a key role in Supporting converged technologies across EY Data Centers.  In this role the individual will effectively oversee installation and maintenance of all Converged hardware assets, within a framework of industry standards, ITIL and AGILE best practices and EY strategic IT principles and policy guidelines.  Troubleshoot critical converged issues across EY’s global estate, this individual would also be expected to take proactive steps to manage capacity and performance across HCI systems (VxRail, Nutanix, AZURE stacks). He/she also must be able to provide technical subject matter expertise, be able to understand complex issues and provide clear solutions. In addition to that he/she will be expected to adhere to change/problem and incident management processes.

The Engineer will also be working closely with Infra automation teams. Key Focus on automation using Nutanix Calm (Python, PowerShell), Blue cat, Venafi Configuration using REST API, Ansible Playbooks and Ansible Tower.

Your key responsibilities

·  Install, configure and manage converged technologies across EY’s global estate (VxRail, Nutanix, Hyper-V)
·  Troubleshoot storage, network and compute issues through to problem resolution
·  Implement solutions based on EY standard components globally
·  Administer Dell EMC Vblock, VxRail , Nutanix and AZURE stack.
·  Engineer new converged/hyper converged/software defined storage solutions to meet EY requirements
·  Adhere to Change/Problem/Incident management process
·  Write Infra Automation Code using Powercli, Python, Ansible, Nutanix Calm.

To qualify for the role, you must have

·  Advanced skills in managing complex converged environment
·  Advanced Skills in Hyperconverged Infrastructure. (VxRail , Nutanix)
·  Knowledge of Cisco UCSM
·  Knowledge of EMC Storage
·  Knowledge in Server Virtualization Technologies – VMware ESX
