As part of EY’s focus on the people agenda of organizations and change initiatives, our People Advisory Services professionals assist our clients in successfully managing and sustaining people, process and/or technology change. This may include the identification and management of stakeholders, leadership development, organizational design, training, cultural assessment and development, talent management, workforce strategies, and planning and executing key communications.

The opportunity

We are looking for a Consultant with expertise in content development or copy editing skills to join the WFA Learning Lab North team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading global professional services organisation whilst being instrumental in growth of the WFA team.

Your key responsibilities

•    Create/develop written communications for Change and Learning projects 
•    Edit and rewrite content for accuracy and quality with a focus on spelling, grammar, punctuation and syntax
•    Reviewing and adapt source content materials, writing outlines and scripts of the digital training is an added advantage
•    Adhere to EY and client style guides and associated branding and tones for all the learning deliverables
•    Gather, manage, and review content for a variety of digital experiences based on project requirements
•    Conduct in-depth research into industry-specific topics and articulate findings

Skills and attributes for success

•    Critical thinking and situational reasoning are required, often under tight deadlines; a cool head combined with strong analytical skills is a must-have
•    Work closely with PAS professionals from the beginning of the project until the end, by reviewing the final product and deliver behaviour-changing learning products
•    Capable of receiving feedback graciously and provides in-depth critical feedback to peers
•    Able to work independently and as a pivotal team member and comfortable in seeking guidance as needed
•    Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud suite is an added advantage
•    High integrity and commitment to work in a new and challenging environment
•    Ability to manage ambiguity and be proactive
•    Strong communication and presentation skills
•    Cross cultural awareness and sensitivity
•    High energy levels, agility and adaptability

To qualify for the role, you must have

•    1-3 years of experience in a writing or editing role, ideally on large-scale projects in marketing, editing, publishing or other related fields
•    A bachelor’s degree in the relevant field
•    Ability to write and edit an array of communications materials for internal/external stakeholders
•    Excellent teaming skills, adaptability toward new perspectives, working styles, personalities and cultures
•    Ability to handle multiple projects with shifting deadlines simultaneously 
•    Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, analytical skills relationship-building and interpersonal skills 
•    Excellent active listening skills 
•    Basic time and personal management skills and able to keep up with personal and team deadlines, managing general availability, etc. 
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (specifically, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.)
•    Superior written and editorial skills with correct tone, voice, clarity, flow and structure of content
•    Familiarity with current Chicago Manual of Style, Associated Press (AP) Style Guide and Microsoft Manual of Style for Technical Publications (MSTP) and stay abreast of major changes

Ideally, you’ll also have

•    Experience in a professional services environment with client deliverables
•    Flexibility in learning and applying new software and work processes
•    Ability to understand designer and programmer workflows
•    Basic knowledge of UI/UX and instructional design principles 
•    Evidence of written and editorial skills: publications, blogs, previous work samples, etc.
