Job Summary:
Risk Management team at EY plays an important role in managing the internal risks of the firm associated with accepting a new client or an engagement or risks associated with any of our on-going audit / non audit engagement. Formed in the Year 2007, the Risk Management team is growing rapidly (700+ team members) as a Center of Excellence for all standardized quality / compliance related activities that can be efficiently undertaken from Global Delivery Services location.
The Supervising Analyst within the RMS Conflict Checking team would be required to develop subject matter expertise on RMS Process and Policies (including conflict checking and) and shall be the first point of contact for client facing /Regional Teams. The individual will be interpreting Risk Management policies, determining required actions and making recommendations based on firm guidance. Other responsibilities include analyzing issues and diligently producing deliverables ensuring highest quality, as the work product is subject to review and scrutiny by outside regulators.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical Responsibilities
• Develops comprehensive knowledge of EY Global / local conflict policies and is able to apply them to real situations, as needed
• Understands the key requirements of Risk Management rules of the firm and regulators’ Risk Management
• Develops a robust knowledge of the process over a period of time and become a Subject Matter Expert (SME)
• Facilitate and drive the process to the completion by following up on requests received from the RM Consultant and assisting the client team
• Acts as a liaison between the clients serving teams, & other members of the Risk Management team
• Perform 2nd level review of submissions from client serving teams, evaluating the completeness, accuracy and appropriateness of proposed transaction/requests
• Formulate answers to client serving team in a timely manner
• Act as a regional relationship contact, ensuring that all the queries of onshore and engagement teams are responded within the agreed timelines
• Assist in development and deployment of high value complex services
• Handle the shift management process
• Drive KPIs within the team
• Learns the firm structure, business strategies, service lines, and people of the firm
• Build a network of people within RMS and across the firm
• Apply judgment to initial consultations and/or submission review and propose solution to issues
• Provide suggestion to continuously improve the existing & new processes
• Responsible for reviewing the work of team members and providing them feedback on real time basis
Other key responsibilities
• Identify training, learning & development opportunities for the team members
• Responsible for quality of output through internal review mechanisms
• Providing junior team members with performance feedback
• Manage day-to-day administrative issues and communicating appropriately to the customers / project manager at Global Delivery Service (GDS).
• Responsible for achieving customer satisfaction measures / project critical success factors.

· Need to have some prior hands on experience on basic project management skills working on different time bound projects (internal and external) and managing the same effectively

· Role may require working post shift hours and on some occasions providing coverage on Public Holiday’s as well
· One may be required to work in different shifts as per management requirement (Kochi Location*)

· Good analytical skills with a logical mind-set
Qualifications, certifications and education requirements:
· MBA from a reputed institute or a post-graduate degree.
· PG with a min. experience of 3-5 years on research / analysis role.
· Candidates with exposure to handling international customers/client interaction would be preferred
· Well-developed analytical, interpersonal, and communication (both verbal and written) skills in English
· Proficient with MS Office
· Intermediate research skills and knowledge of databases
