The opportunity

We are looking for experienced Financial Services Lawyers to join our rapidly growing team in our Sydney office.  In this role you will have the opportunity to work on a range of interesting and varied matters to shape and enhance business strategies to help our clients solve tomorrows problems today. Your key responsibilities

·  Development of new financial services businesses, new financial products and advise on the constantly changing regulatory issues affecting the sector 
·  Provide financial services law and regulatory advice in multi-disciplinary teams for domestic and foreign financial services providers 
·  Structure new financial products and advise on regulatory and licensing compliance,superannuation, licensing and managed interest schemes  
·  Draft complex fund and corporate documents 
·  Integrate and implement legal analysis and advice, within a multi-disciplinary focus 
·  Interpreting and analysing legislation and ASIC guidance 
·  Advising on the structure of new financial products and advising on regulatory and licensing compliance 
·  Advising on regulatory reform programs for our bank, insurance, superannuation and investment management clients  

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role you must have

·  Between 1-5 years post qualification experience (PQE) for an Associate and between 5-8 years PQE as a Senior Associate
·  Relevant financial services and corporate law experience pertaining to Australian law
·  Excellent attention to detail, intellectual curiosity and strong analytical skills with the ability to provide practical advice relating to complex regulatory matters
·  Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to articulate advice in an impactful and concise manner to non laywers

Ideally, you’ll also have

·  Experience working in a consulting environment
