Assistant Manager – Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC)
The role in the Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) function is responsible for executing key marketing activities in the tax service-line and other firm-wide marketing and communications initiatives. This includes working closely with the firm’s tax service-line leadership, the tax marketing team and the wider BMC team for developing and executing the Marketing and Communications Strategy which supports the overall go-to-market approach and priorities for the tax service line and the sector assigned to the individual.
The opportunity
The role in the Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) function is responsible for executing key marketing activities in the tax service-line and other firm-wide marketing and communications initiatives. This includes working closely with the firm’s tax service-line leadership, the tax marketing team and the wider BMC team for developing and executing the Marketing and Communications Strategy which supports the overall go-to-market approach and priorities for the tax service line and the sector assigned to the individual.
Your key responsibilities
· Execute the priority marketing initiatives building a favourable position for the brand’s tax offerings among the key buyer groups of CFOs and Tax Heads. This includes but is not limited to events, proprietary App, webcasts, surveys and polls, digital and social media etc.
· In discussion with the EY social media team, develop and implement digital and social media strategy aimed towards enhancing the visibility of EY tax leadership and solutions. This includes ideation, maintenance, content curation and innovative marketing of EY India Tax Insights app, webpages and social media platforms.
· Develop and deploy internal communication, leadership messages, etc. to raise solution or program awareness within the tax employee groups
· Sector marketing for the assigned sector (at best 1-2 sectors) involves positioning the sector leadership as influencers in the said sector/ industry with proactive, timely and distinctive views in the press on sector developments and EY thought leadership
· Identify, evaluate and implement marketing opportunities, within overall plan and budget, across the full marketing mix including sponsorships, speaking engagements, hosted events, collaterals, etc.
Skills and attributes for success
· A strong executive presence, ability develop trusted business relationships with senior leadership
· Demonstrate experience in PR and media relations and engage them without external agency support. Experience in financial services, corporate or professional services PR is preferred
· Have an understanding of digital, social media landscape
· Demonstrate strong project management skills and proficiency in content creation, copy writing and editing
· Demonstrate excellent written and spoken communication abilities, and the capability to network in external settings including events and in the journalistic community
· Work collaboratively and effectively with peer functions and stakeholders to deliver on Tax and the assigned sectors strategic priorities
· Creative thinking for innovative marketing solutions
To qualify for the role you must have
· Demonstrate experience in PR and media relations and engage them without external agency support. Experience in financial services, corporate or professional services PR is preferred

Ideally you’ll also have
· Strong communication, facilitation, relationship-building, presentation and negotiation skills.
· Be highly flexible, adaptable, and creative.
· Comfortable interacting with senior executives (within the firm and at the client)
· Strong leadership skills and supervisory responsibility.
