The opportunity
EY is looking for Senior Consultant/ Consultant/ Associate Consultant – Performance Improvement (Insurance)
Your key responsibilities
Client service delivery/execution
• Execute projects at times supporting multiple clients. Assume near independent responsibility for smaller clients
• Manage client personnel
Knowledge Management
• Assist in developing point of views / thought leadership
• Support knowledge sharing efforts and continually improve processes so that the work team can capture and leverage knowledge
Business development
• Support business development efforts including taking proposal preparation
• Identify new opportunities for existing clients and communicate to manager
• Network internally within the peer group and other levels in the firm in order to gain understanding of issues that may impact issues with his clients
• Develop industry expertise
• People Management

Learn and develop team management skills
Skills and attributes for success
Experience in any of the sectors listed - Automotive, Consumer Products, Diversified industrial products, Metals and Mining, Pharmaceuticals, Retail, Technology, BFSI etc.

To qualify for the role you must have
• B.E. / B.Tech. + MBA or CA + MBA (preferably from a premier institute such as IIMs, NITIE, SP Jain, XLRI, ISB, FMS etc.) with a good academic background
• 1-3 years of experience with exposure to consultancy (preferably BFSI sector) or insurance / reinsurance industry
• Understanding of key business processes in the BFSI sector
• Preference will be given to the candidates having worked on at least 2-3 of the following areas:
Strategy formulation and implementation
Business planning
Financial planning, budgeting and analysis
Strategic cost optimization
Process reengineering / transformation
Market entry & business growth strategy
Distribution transformation
Organization level project / program management
• Experience of working with the leadership team and CXOs of the firm(s) is desired, but not essential
• Candidates having exposure to different lines of business within insurance sector (General, Health, Life insurance) will have an added advantage
Ideally you’ll also have
• Strong communication, facilitation, relationship-building, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Be highly flexible, adaptable, and creative.
• Comfortable interacting with senior executives (within the firm and at the client)
• Strong leadership skills and supervisory responsibility.
