Actuarial Services Advisor, Insurance and Actuarial Advisory Services - Life and Health - Financial Services Office (Senior) (Multiple Positions) , Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, New York, NY.
Support actuarial and insurance advisory engagement teams providing services to clients in the life and health insurance industry. Focus on areas including risk management, financial reporting, Actuarial Transformation and modeling, retirement income and pension risk transfer, merger and acquisition due diligence and integration, actuarial tax, managed services and audit support.
Provide technical guidance and share knowledge with team members with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services focusing on more complex, judgmental and/or specialized issues. Demonstrate technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Learn about EY and its service lines and actively assess and present ways to apply knowledge and services.
Full time employment, Monday– Friday,40hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related, and 2 years of experience in one or a combination of the following:
-an actuarial role within a consulting firm providing services to Life Insurance companies; and/or an actuarial role in a Life Insurance company.
Alternatively, a Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related, and 1 year of related experience in one or a combination of the following:
- an actuarial role within a consulting firm providing services to Life Insurance companies; and/or an actuarial role in a Life Insurance company.
Must have 1 year of experience with actuarial-related software (all combinations that add up to 1 year), including AXIS, Prophet, MoSes, ArcVal or ALFA.
Must have 1 year of experience in Excel, SAS, VBA or C++.
Must have passed 3 actuarial exams towards attaining a Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation.
Travel required approximately 60% to meet client needs.
