EY’s Actuarial team comprises life, non-life and pension actuaries.  We have built a strong reputation as leading actuarial advisor.  We support our clients on a wide range of topics and in several roles – be it 1 st , 2 nd or 3 rd line of defense, external audit or transactions. 

Our dynamic team is continuing to grow. Currently, we have opportunities for talented professionalsfrom Senior Consultant to Manager levelwith Prophet experience.

 

The opportunity

As an Actuarial Consultant, you will work directly with clients in the insurance sector. Within your role, you will work on a variety of topics, such as:

·  Product development support, research and pricing of life and related insurances
·  Valuation of liabilities under IFRS/BEGAAP/Solvency II and support our clients in the update of their valuation models
·  Capital modelling and Asset & Liability Management
·  MCEV modelling and review
·  Leverage your Prophet experience to assist in due diligence with respect to actuarial aspects and in audit support for Solvency II and statutory reporting

We expect you to work effectively as a team member, coach more junior staff and build good relationships with the client. You will have the opportunity to expand your actuarial knowledge and skills, and will be able to collaborate frequently with other EY professionals with a wide variety of expertise, both in Belgium and abroad.

How will you grow?

·  You will expand your actuarial valuation knowledge and how this links to the business problems our clients are facing
·  You will further strengthen your Prophet and other programming skills while working with different tools and systems
·  You will build strong internal relationships within EY, both in Belgium and abroad, as well as a broad network within the Belgian insurance market
·  As you grow further in your job, you will take the lead on client engagements and coach our junior colleagues

To qualify for the role you must have the following skills...

·  You have a master in Actuarial Sciences.
·  We have a minimum of 2 years of experience, working in a life actuarial-oriented position within an insurance company or a consultancy firm.
·  You have a solid knowledge of life pricing, life reserving techniques, Solvency II and/or MCEV as well as an extensive knowledge of actuarial software, such as Prophet, Glean, Moses or Axis.
·  Proficient level of business English, and fluent in Dutch and/or French
·  You have a global mindset and the drive to work in international teams!
