Software Developer Intern, IP Operating System
As a young professional at Ericsson you will join with other talented and enthusiastic people working together towards common goals. You have the passion to be among the best and continuously drive new ideas, learn and adapt.
By joining our agile teams working within Product Development Unit IP Operating System you get to architect, develop, evolve platform independent scalable IP Networking SW infrastructure and network OS that powers Ericsson's radio, packet core, and route/switch products. Extending the distributed control plane infrastructure across nodes supports the SDN and cloud strategy.
IPOS SW infrastructure includes dual-stack IP Routing & Switching Suites, platform abstraction layers and IPOS SDK/APIs for hosted gateway applications.
Characteristics of the Ideal Candidate
· Ongoing, about to finish or just graduated BSc / MSc in Computer Science, Information Technology or related technical discipline
· Up-to-date software engineering skills
· Programming skills in C or related languages
· Knowledge of Linux environment, tools, and APIs
· Interest on SW development on embedded Linux applications
· Solid balance of strategic thinking and ability to get things done
· Problem solving attitude and team player skills
Experience / Competence that is seen as an advantage
· IP Routing domain
· Software Defined Networking (SDN) and/or Network Function Virtualization (NFV)
· IP security solutions
· Testing in IP domain
· Linux Kernel programming
