Purpose of Job Role

We are looking for a 12 or 16 month student to join an Agile Cross Functional team performing Radio Station software development. Responsibilities include the following:

· Participate in the Product Development Cycle – from concept to a product
· Participate in the review and understanding of requirements
· Contribute to design activities and deliverables
· Coding for both product and test software
· Develop design test cases and perform designer testing
· Work closely in a hands-on manner with hardware and systems designers
· Investigate and resolve software issues
· Follow software development processes

Ideally, the candidate would have course exposure or work experience in some of the following areas:

· C and C++ coding skills, Object-oriented design
· Knowledge of data telecommunication protocols (OSI layer model, TCP/IP, Ethernet, HDLC, etc.)
· Using a Linux/Unix-based software development environment
· Real-Time and Distributing Computing Systems Design

We are open to hiring students of all years & terms. We have had electrical, systems, computer, and are open to all studies where a background in radio technology may play a role.
