As a Network Eng. Professional you will provide technical engineering support to Sales, Software Development, Engineering and Operations teams.

Working directly with Ericsson's customers the Network Engineer is a self-motivated individual who will provide engineering services for global projects.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·  Support integration and roll out of the CENX Service Assurance product solution to service providers
·  Work closely with customer operations & engineering teams to understand and document their network architecture, services, systems and data formats
·  Transfer this knowledge to integration services team to tune the solution to the customer
·  Understand existing customer network OSS systems and facilitating machine integration of these systems into the solution by working closely with customer system owners and internal integration team
·  Validate solution by testing and verifying prior to customer roll-out
·  Generate UAT test plan and execute with customer
·  Support customer during initial deployment period
·  Configuration of customer specific integration points using internally developed scripts
·  Support development of Service Fulfillment Orchestration features using Netconf configuration management protocol and Yang data modeling language
·  Travel will be required (approx. 20%)

 

 

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

 

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering or Equivalent
·  Minimum of 5+ years of experience in telecommunications/networking industry
·  Working experience with Carrier Ethernet technologies (802.3, 802.1, MEF)
·  Knowledgeable in Service OAM (802.1ag, Y.1731, TWAMP etc), IP, MPLS, PWE3, VPLS and Network Management protocols
·  Good IP routing knowledge (OSPF, BGP, MPLS based IP VPN’s)
·  Experience with Mobile Backhaul via Carrier Ethernet a plus
·  Understanding of Mobile technologies (2G,3G,4G/LTE)
·  Prior experience at Carriers/Service Providers or direct experience in working closely with such companies
·  Network Architecture and Design
·  Hands-on experience with routers and switches
·  Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities
·  Experience working with Operational Support Systems (Quoting, Service Delivery, Billing, etc)
·  Experience with Network Management Systems and technologies
·  Good knowledge of UNIX/LINUX a plus
·  Experience with network and service configuration via Netconf/Yang a plus
·  Scripting experience (PERL, TCL etc)
