Job Summary:

We are now looking for NBO (Network Build Operations Manager candidates for our Pleasanton, CA location. This position manages between 25 and 50, contingent workers and/or full-time employees, construction, integration and crew operations across all disciplines dispersed geographically within the specified market area. Responsible for managing, coaching, guiding and conducting employee performance reviews. Must have extensive experience managing the deployment of large scale telecommunications build and integration projects, budgeting, forecasting cost, allocating work, setting employee schedules and approving employee timesheets. This includes oversight of new site construction (CM’s), tower and ground workforce; adherence to corporate policies and procedures, goal setting, performance management, corrective and other personnel actions.

Responsibilities:

·  The achievement of short and long-term company objectives within the specified operational area, focused on attaining or exceeding operational performance objectives and financial efficiency.
·  Compliance with all local, state and federal statutes regarding workforce and workplace health and safety, financial transparency and accountability, environmental stewardship and fair labor practices.
·  Develop and lead a highly skilled technical work force and ensure the readiness of that workforce to adapt quickly to the changing needs of the business. This includes compliance with training and certification requirements.
·  Develop constructive, collaborative working relationships with internal organizations and customers, including comprehension and compliance with operational processes and procedures.
·  Assure that his/her workgroups are at a constant state of readiness to respond to emergencies and disaster situations.
·  Lead disaster recovery efforts with particular focus on compliance with corporate, federal and state emergency policies and procedures.
·  Employee management, with respect to delivering quality results.
·  Ensures all services are delivered according to contractual commitments through the line organization.
·  Informs the account team of any possible new and future service opportunities.
·  Provides feedback on delivery performance to the line organization.
·  Determines actions to improve project service delivery; plan and drive the implementation of these improvements.
·  Initiates and participates in regular internal meetings, regarding service delivery issues and operation reviews.
·  Acts as escalation point for service related issues.
·  Understand and strictly adhere to safety and quality guidelines without deviation.
·  Accurately and timely document job costs, including labor hours and material.
·  Read customer blueprints and execute scope of work per the customer’s specifications.
·  Travel up to 35% as needed to develop, manage and guide employee relationships.

Key Qualifications:

·  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
·  10+ years of relevant experience in the Telecommunication Industry with extensive knowledge of Wireless Telecommunications and/or Telecommunications Construction is required.
·  7-10+ years of Employee Management Experience, Coaching, Guiding and conducting Employee Performance Reviews. (Minimum of 25 to 50 Full-Time Employees and/or Contingent Workers)
·  Experience managing the deployment of large scale telecommunications site build projects, budgeting, forecasting cost, allocating work, setting employee schedules and approving employee timesheets.
·  Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to deal effectively and decisively collaborate with internal and external customers,
·  Must possess strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively lead a diverse technical work force.
·  Must have high level of computer proficiency, including a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite. (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
·  Excellent organizational and administrative skills.

Additional Preferred Experience:

·  Significant site build and operational experience within Ericsson’s MANA NBO national support organization organization.
·  Emergency response and restoration processes and procedures.
·  Safety and Security processes and procedures.
·  Project management experience.
·  Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
·  Responsible for handling all system events.
·  Ability to technically speak through issues.
·  Ability to work well under pressure.
·  Multi-vendor exposure.
·  Strong analytical skills.
