Job description

To be eligible for this intern role, candidates must be students enrolled in a university degree, and cannot graduate before December 2017. Candidates who do not meet this criteria will be automatically disqualified.

The Ottawa office is focussed on R&D and has roughly 30 co-op students working in a range of areas and jobs. Many of our students have gone on to full time positions with Ericsson.

Mobile application developer (IOS application):

As a developer the student will develop & maintain mobile application software. Job responsibility will include development activities like requirement analysis, design, verification, support, and product documentation.

Responsibilities & Tasks:

·  Be part of cross functional team to develop and test high quality mobile application
·  Perform troubleshooting and debugging of software issues
·  Drive continuous improvements of products and features through innovation
·  Tools development for product validation and continuous integration.

Competence & Experience:

·  Objective C, Swift, and C++/Java
·  Mobile Application Development experience
·  Client-Server based App development knowledge
·  Analytical problem solving ability
·  Test and benchmark mobile application
·  Good to have the following additional competencies:
·  Experience with OpenCV and Image recognition algorithms is plus
·  Understanding on RF propagation algorithm and MATLAB are plus
·  Android apps development
·  Web based app development
·  Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services
