ROLE LOCATION: LEEDS

Purpose of Job Role

An opportunity has arisen for a MCR / Transmission Support Engineer based at our Leeds facility.

This is a key role, responsible for providing efficient and effective technical support to meet business requirements. The role encompasses responsibilities for all MCRs daily operational commitments which include substantial amounts of live programming. The role is key in ensuring schedule requirements are understood and circuits are booked which meet the programme and operational needs. The role also provides first line technical support to the broadcast infrastructure.

The successful candidate will have studied engineering to a foundation level (or equivalent), have experience in an engineering capacity within a broadcast environment, and knowledge of automation systems, broadcast video servers and automated MAM workflows. IT experience is an advantage.

To be successful in this role you will also have proactive, methodical problem solving and fault finding skills and the ability to recommend better working practices, together with excellent communication, team working and client liaison skills. The ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure is also essential.

This role requires flexibility to work on a shift pattern and may include some nights as the business requires.

Qualification and Experience

•Proven broadcast engineering experience.

•Educated to foundation level (as a minimum) in relevant discipline
