Job Summary

Responsible for the end-to-end service, management, and execution of the following activities.

Our client is a provider offering broadcasting services for Digital and HD TV, digital Radio and Telco providers.

·  Service & Resource; short term planning & design. Resource here must be understood as the complete Operator's IP/MW network, Broadcast network & IS/IT infrastructure. Customer network is made of multivendor and multi technical domains environment. This Service Function (SF) must ensure the best cost effective design, the adequate network & technology & ensure the consistency of the service & resource.
·  Short term planning, service & resource engineering, responsible for the design of new or enhanced services or resources, supporting the deployment of the solution & ensuring that it meets the project requirements.
·  Post-incident analysis as part of the Problem Management process & for approving any change that affects the network (or service) topology.
·  Network (& Service) performance management & capacity management, responsible to ensure that the services or resources are performing adequately & that enough capacity is available to meet the business requirements & growth projections.
·  Support presales activities, including pre-studies.
·  Engineering, Planification and Preparation of cabling and/or electrical or optical cross-connect in Customer Datacenters and POP (Point of Presence) of external Operators
·  Check 3G, 4G or ADSL/xDSL eligibity of a site/line using external Operator reservation tool.
·  Order and close 3G, 4G or ADSL /xDSL line for one site/line, using external Operator reservation tool.

Responsibilities & Tasks

·  Implement and optimize IP and Microwave network infrastructure for broadcasting digital TV and Radio, and/or create links (point to point or point to multipoint) on Ethernet, within existing guidelines and procedures, keeping in mind the business and/or project requirements.
·  Implement and optimize radio (FM, AM) and video transport, Ethernet point-to-point and point-to-multipoint transport, within existing guidelines and procedures, keeping in mind the business, pre-sales and/or project requirements.
·  Planning implementation activities reserving resources, conforming to High Level Designs/Low Level Designs within the framework of existing processes and procedures, to ensure the activities can be done within the agreed planning.
·  Build, configure, optimize, and accept new network elements, conforming to designs and change management procedures, to implement and activate new services or capacity upgrades with a minimum of disruption of the availability of the service.
·  Perform Radio links Design and planning, using available Tools.
·  Perform Radio links profiles and feasibility Vs AGL and AMSL layers, using available Tools. AGL means ‘Above Ground Level’ while AMSL means ‘Above Mean Sea Level’.
·  Use and update Customer Tools and Databases within existing guidelines and procedures, keeping in mind the business, pre-sales and/or project requirements.
·  Prepare changes following the local change regime in the live network of the operators.
·  Prepare IP and Microwave node configurations to support new services and operators, conforming to available templates.
·  Prepare audio coder/decoder, video coder/decoder configurations to support new services and operators, conforming to available templates.
·  Actively maintain and develop knowledge of the competence area, in order to be able to perform the activities with a sufficient knowledge level.
·  Advise, deliver input and recommend technical improvements to Technical Managers (SPOC), Project Managers and Performance and Quality Managers, in order to contribute to the optimization of the networks.
·  Report to Program Manager, SPOC and Quality Manager.
·  Prepare IP node configurations related to cabling, to support new services and operators, conforming to available templates.
·  Check 3G, 4G or ADSL/xDSL eligibity of a site/line using external Operator reservation tool.
·  Order and close 3G, 4G or ADSL /xDSL line for one site/line, using external Operator reservation tool.
·  Deliver reports like Site installation document; Floor plan drawing; Site cabling; Site cable label; HWDT.

Desired profile

Position Qualifications

·  Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree in Engineering (Computer Science or equivalent experience) or combination of related education and experience.
·  Good understanding of operator business drivers and technologies in the IP and MW network areas, as well as in TV and Radio Broadcasting domain.
·  Broad overview of IP technologies. Good acquaintance with TCP/IP protocols and networks
·  Experience of IP and MW Planning and Design on Telecom/ISP based networks
·  Basic knowledge of MPLS, IS-IS, MPBGP, OSPF, L3VPN, L2VPN; MVPN; VPLS, PSW; E-LAN, E-VPL, E-LINE; SNMP; VLAN; Ethernet
·  Basic knowledge of QoS in IP networks (CBWFQ, WRED, etc.)
·  Basic knowledge of routers/switches and IOS
·  Since most of the Customer Network involves multivendor environment general knowledge about MW is required and good knowledge with regard to each Client’s equipment features (this is subject to learn or update).
·  Basic knowledge of optical technology- WDM
·  Basic knowledge of audio coder/decoder
·  Working knowledge of any MW Tools
·  IP Certifications on Juniper and/or Cisco is a plus.
·  Working knowledge of ALU 7450, 7210M, 7750 routers/switches and corresponding OS; of ALU 5620 SAM Tool is a plus
·  Working knowledge of any of the following Tools: CACTI ; Ceragon Poliview ; IPAM Tool (from Efficient IP) ; Provision and Portal Tools from Aviat is a plus
·  Basic knowledge over cabling area (optical, electrical).
·  At least 2 years relevant working experience (in the branch)
