Overview

As an Integration Engineer - Configuration Management, you will be a visible representative for Ericsson in the execution of transformations related to Operations Support System (OSS). You will be part of a front line, customer-facing team assembled to implement our Network Inventory GIS on Ericsson Network Engineer software and the Logical Inventory on Ericsson Adaptive Inventory.

Key Responsibilities

·  Write and maintain a project CM plan. Inform stakeholders about CM activities; plans and changes.
·  Check that the CM plan is followed. Initiate review process regularly and when required.
·  Environment management for Linux, Windows and Citrix servers.
·  License management for installed Ericsson software.
·  Ensure that CI’s (Configuration Items) and their revisions are correctly and uniquely identified.
·  Administrate baselines and changes to them. Documentation should be available to all project members.
·  Write and maintain the Master Configuration Index (MCI).
·  Make sure that the naming convention for products, documents and files are followed.
·  Define and initiate the control board activities and to inform the relevant project members of the decision taken.
·  Keep libraries available for all persons involved.
·  Verify compliance with the final baseline and participate in release meetings.
·  Make deliveries and notify defined receivers. After delivery of Customer Solution identify and store corrections.
·  After delivery, keep the Final Delivery Baseline up to date.
·  Configuration status accounting, i.e. Maser Configuration Index and CR status.
·  Plan own work, coordinate plans with team and management.
·  Maintain documentation, procedures and work instructions for the customer solution.
·  Participate in configuration management meetings, such as progress reviews, environment planning, requirement reviews, demonstration of delivered solution.
·  Report on quality, incidents, software faults, progress and schedule deviations.
·  Contribute to overall Ericsson Knowledge in the OSS area

Requirements

·  Normally requires a BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent, plus a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
·  Excessive experience in file system and software configuration management.
·  Experience in Citrix, Linux and Windows Server environments.
·  Experience in source code management and usage of Concurrent Versions System (CVS) tools.
·  Additional tools like Subversion, GIT, and Microsoft TFS (Team Foundation Server) might be relevant, as well as platforms like TeamForge and Gerrit.
·  Experience in OSS applications, Network Inventories and GIS applications would be beneficial.
·  Good interpersonal, social and presentation skills, and an ability to build internal and customer working relationships quickly
·  Ability to work in multiple cultures, and in mixed teams
·  Each of experience working for a major telecoms operator or vendor, a specialized OSS vendor, a major consultancy or other professional services team is a plus
·  The position is customer facing and requires excellent communications skills both verbal and written. In this experience-based role, the candidate is expected to be business minded with a proven track record of success.
