Job Description:

As an Support Engineer the candidate should provide technical service and support to existing customer BSS/OSS applications ensuring that the services provided to our customers are continuously available and performing up to Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance levels;

• Support: Investigate technical problems, troubleshoot systems that are in operation and if requested, participate in the remedy of systems in case of critical situations. Follow up with emergency handling, if needed.

• Consulting: Participation on business configuration in accordance to customer's service contract.

Personal Qualifications:

- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.

- Good written and spoken English

- Good attitude & interpersonal skills

- Ability to perform in a multi-tasking and team-oriented environment

- Ability to show active participation within a team – be engaged

- General "open source" knowledge, "hands on" approach and a "can do" attitude

Technical skills:

- Good knowledge on Unix Operating System (Solaris, Linux, HP). VM knowledge (VMWare, VirtualBox etc.) would be a plus

- Knowledge of Shell scripting (Perl, Python and Java will be an added advantage)

- Database knowledge (Oracle, postgreSQL, MySQL)

- Experience with technical troubleshooting

Optional Technical skills:

- knowledge of Ericsson Mediation Solution (EMM) would be a big plus

- knowledge of programming languages ( C++, DUP) would be a plus

- Knowledge of Ericsson Charging Systems (SDP/AIR/CCN/VS) would be a plus.

- Knowledge on basic networking concepts. CCNA would be a plus

- Exposure to open source technologies

- Good GSM/UMTS/LTE understanding
