BSCS Billing Integration Engineer Ericsson Greece

Job Description:

The Integration Engineer is expected to participate in BSS projects and to analyze, prepare, implement and verify the configuration and integration of a BSS solution (mainly Ericsson BSCS but also CBiO , MultiMediation , Charging Systems and/or IT BSS Transformation projects ).

The role is part of customer team and work in customer premises or remotely for the customer wherever possible.

Analysis: Responsible for analyzing, designing & developing commercially viable end-to-end technical IT BSS solutions for the customers.

Integration: installation, configuration and integration of Ericsson's BSCS Billing solutions (work with the customer on-site or from the back-office as a member of the implementation team)

Support: Investigate technical problems, troubleshoot systems that are in operation and if requested, participate in the remedy of systems in case of critical situations.

Participation on business configuration in accordance to customer's service contract.

Personal Qualifications:

·  Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
·  More than 2 years of experience in Billing , Mediation or Charging platforms (primarily: Ericsson BSCS , Secondary: Ericsson MM or Charging Systems would be a plus)
·  Good written and spoken English
·  Good attitude & interpersonal skills
·  Ability to perform in a multi-tasking and team-oriented environment
·  Ability to show active participation within a team – be engaged
·  General "open source" knowledge, "hands on" approach and a "can do" attitude

Technical skills:

·  Strong Database knowledge ( Oracle, PL/SQL )
·  Good knowledge on Operating System ( Solaris, HPUX, Linux ) and VM knowledge ( VMWare, VirtualBox etc.) would be a plus
·  Knowledge of Shell scripting ( Perl , python and Java will be an added advantage)
·  Experience with technical trouble shooting

Optional skills:

·  Knowledge on basic networking concepts. CCNA would be a plus
·  Exposure to open source technologies
·  Good GSM and Telecom IT understanding
