Job Title: MS Service Engineer.
Job Purpose: Operation team members to be added in an already existing and well skilled Operation ETL (extraction transformation and load) team in Second Level Assurance
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
ETL Operations, 2nd/3rd level Support:
· 2nd/3rd level restoration, maintenance, configuration management of ETL solution deliveries
· Code debugging (mainly complex PL/SQL code)
· Preventive maintenance, platforms and application troubleshooting
· ETL design strategy scheduling basing on customer needs and platforms dependences
· Fault Management, Problem Management, Incident Management & Configuration management, including on call service outside business hours
· Rollout acceptance for Minor, Major Releases and Canvasses.
· Defect Management, trouble ticket handling within the agreed SLAs and WLAs; accepting, planning and assessment/supervision of implementation of new enhancements (fixes and Change Request) in the customer network.
· Optimization & automation of workflows and activities.
· Creation, updates and maintenance of technical documentation
Minimum Qualifications:
Skills, Experience and Education:
The Candidate should has the following competence:
· Technical degree
· PL/SQL Solid code troubleshooting/debugging experience
· Medium/high Unix, Linux O.S. experience
· Technology skills in Data warehousing and Business Intelligence practice
· Strong knowledge in Evolving Strategies for Extraction, Transformation Conditioning and Loading of data from various Heterogeneous data Sources
· Experience of Configuration Management, Defect management and Release management
· Experience in creating and updating High Level Design Documents and Details Design Documents in course of software development cycle
· Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
· Fluency in English language
· Italian language knowledge is a plus
Moreover, the following extensive knowledge will be considered as a plus:
· BSS (Business Support Systems) understanding/experience
· Oracle Database 10/11g Administration Knowledge
· DataStage (Ascential, Infosphere) Basic or Administration Knowledge
· Unix Shell Programming
· Web languages programming
· Oracle BIEE
· Networking knowledge/Experience (protocols)
· Experience as Developer and/or Tester and/or Deployment
