Two C# Software Developers - Varied work

Job description

Team of 8 are currently looking for 2 Software Developers to develop and maintain a wide range of internal business, administration, development tools and applications.  The role is primarily focused on the development of brand new tools for internal customers within a very high tech company employing around 1200 staff 80% of which are engineers.  

The work will be primarily on Microsoft platforms so as a base skill set it’s likely suitable Software Developers will have experience in C#, ASP.net and SQL server although the Manager is flexible on this.  One of the roles is a Senior position (4+ years exp) which will include mentoring of Graduate developers and the other is a more Junior role.

Due to the wide variation of systems developed the jobs will suit Software Developers who have dabbled with a number of languages and platforms but mastered at least one language (ideally C#).  The business systems (pay role, expenses, admin tasks, intranet etc) will be mainly focused on Microsoft technologies while the development operations (Build systems, project management, test suites etc) are usually on Linux.

The following skills are not requirements but technologies you may encounter in this job - Perl, tcl, Python, JavaScript, Serena – Team Script, Salesforce – Apex, , Jquery, SQL Server, Linq, CSS, HTML, MS SQL Reporting Services, TDD, Unit Testing, WCF Web Services, SCCM Tools (CVS, P4, HG, SVN), Reporting tools (Crystal, Open reports, etc) , Serena – Business Manager, SharePoint, Linux, Ubuntu, MySQL.
