Job description

ENGIE are recruiting for a Waste Operative to be based at Amcor Flexibles Ltd, Winterbourne Road, Winterbourne, Bristol BS34 6PT. This is a permanent full time role working 42 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £9:30  - £9:50 per hour. 

On an average week you will be required to work 3 - 4 12 hours shift varying from days to nights as per the shift rota.


General Overview:  
 
The role of the Waste Operative will be given full training prior to commencing of work. The ENGIE team will be responsible for ensuring the warehouse yard is clear of any waste & as tidy as possible at all times. Reporting to the FM Supervisor
Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:

·  Keep the warehouse yard clear of production waste.
·  Daily checks of all balers & Fork lift truck.
·  Yard housekeeping sheet to be completed prior to starting each shift. 
·  Ensure all Production Hall bins are emptied into relevant on site skip. 
·  Respond in a timely manner to any issues such as fork lift driver requests from the Production Hall engineers.  
·  Provide cover as necessary. 
·  Ensure power cleaning equipment is operated in a safe and economic manner, and in accordance with their instructions for use. 
·  Ensure that yard cleaning equipment and designated storage areas are maintained in a clean, tidy and safe condition.
·  Carry out the duties of the Waste Operatives team in accordance with safe working practices within statutory, Company and recommended guidelines.
·  Undertake training as necessary to maintain the requirements of the service
·  Ensure that the FM Supervisor, Key Account Manager and Customers are made aware of any HSE or operational issues that could adversely affect safety.
·  Major issues must be reported to the Portfolio Director.
·  The Cleaning Operative must comply with ENGIE and Customer control of work and operating procedures and must act in a professional manner at all times. For more information about ENGIE please visit:http://www.engie.com/en/candidates-area/

Qualifications or Required Experience: 

·  Valid fork lift license –  an advantage but not essential as training given 
·  Experience waste removal (nice to have but not essential)
·  The use of external cleaning equipment
·  Have an understanding of basic health and safety principles
·  Attain a consistent specified standard of cleaning
·  Able to work as a team to meet work schedules
·  Good communication and customer care skills
·  Capable of working with minimum supervision
·  Awareness of risk assessments and working safely with equipment For this role you must have evidence of right to work in the UK. There is no re-location package with this job role.
