Job description

ENGIE are recruiting for a Team Leaders to be based at Unit 1 Easter Park, Worcester Road, Kidderminster, DY11 7AR. This is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of  £20,337 per annum.

Working hours will be between 6 am to 6 pm Monday - Friday. Reporting directly to the Team Manager.  

General Overview:

The role of the Team Leader is to Supports the Team Managers in the day-to-day delivery of the DWP-DDMS contract operations in line with contract requirements during allocate shift hours, ensuring service delivery against SLA and KPI requirements, whilst ensuring all SHEQ deliverables are effectively managed and provided for at all times.Each Team Lead will have overall responsibility for ensuring that individual operational staff members, as directed by the Team Manager, are supported in their delivery of qualitative and quantitative operational targets.

To be successful in this role you must provide the following:

·  Minimum of 3 year history of employment (including information which can be verified for any gaps) If you do not have 3 years previous employment, a professional reference must be provided (obtained from a Medical Practitioner, Officer of the Armed Forces, Teacher, Lecturer, Lawyer, Bank Manager, Civil Servant etc)
·  Proof of identity & eligibility to work in the UK which must include Photographic I.D - Passport or Driving License. 
·   - Passport and all relevant work permits
·   - NI Number information / proof and FULL Birth certificate (not the short version)
·  If no legal photographic documentation is owned then a passport photo which has been signed and verified by any of the above professionals will be required. This needs to show their title, signature and contact details.
·  3 proofs of address from within the last 3 months (i.e. Driving License, council tax bill, bank statement, utilities bills).
·  Any required qualifications or driving licence if required for the role
Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:

·  Supports the Team Managers in the day-to-day delivery of the DWP-DDMS contract operations in line with contract requirements during allocate shift hours, ensuring service delivery against SLA and KPI requirements, whilst ensuring all SHEQ deliverables are effectively managed and provided for at all times
·  The Team Lead is a supporting member of the Operational Leadership Team (DDMS) with responsibility for assisting in directing and managing all aspects of operational activity in regards to delivering the DWP-DDMS contract during allocated shift hours.
·  Directly responsible supervising specific shift staff, as allocated by the Shift Manager, this position will ensure effective delivery of operational efficiencies and quality targets through pro-active supervision and re-active support to operational staff as directed by the Team Manager.
·  Each Team Lead will have overall responsibility for ensuring that individual operational staff members, as directed by the Team Manager, are supported in their delivery of qualitative and quantitative operational targets.
·  The role holder has full authority to pro-actively step in to supervise an individual operative or specific group of operatives where support is deemed to be needed to achieve targets.

·  Provides day-to-day management support and staff motivation to the allocated DDMS staff group ensuring that all relevant operational activities are completed in line with contractual qualitative and quantitative service level requirements
·  Develops and maintain relationships with all operational staff through demonstrable leadership techniques and effective inter-personal skills.
·  Maintains communication links between all DDMS operational personnel through close liaison with other Team Leads ensuring maximum efficiency of the combined entity
·  Close liaison with the all Team Managers and the Resource Administrator to ensure that the daily resource plan and daily activity plan are delivered to meet or exceed business expectations 
·  Provides direct support to the Team Manager in monitoring and effectively managing attendance, absence and holidays
·  Provides direct support to the Team Manager in managing the individual and team performance 
·  Assists the Team Manager in proactively dealing with performance issues of individual team members through personal development and objective monitoring 
·  Assists the Team Manager in proactively seeking continuous improvement in terms of both quality and productivity from individual team members and from the team as an entity
·  Promotes a safe and healthy working environment in accordance with current legislation and both Company and customer policies
·  Ensures Company standards for environmental management systems and procedures are applied and complied with at all times

Qualifications or Required Experience:

·  Excellence in people management and driving individual motivation to perform
·  Experience of first line or second line management level 
·  Experience of industrialised mailroom, document management, or similar environment 
·  Experience of developing strong relationships with senior managers
·  Strong, written, numeracy and interpersonal skills.
·  Good leadership and coaching skills.
·  Ability to quickly assimilate and articulate performance data.
·  Process orientated and experience of using technology to support delivery
