Within Tractebel Advisory & Advanced Analytics (T3A), the Advanced Analytics department offers a wide range of expertise: Optimization Bucket Identification, Operation Research (model-based optimization), Machine Learning (data-based optimization, artificial intelligence), Data Visualization (unlocking the value generated for the customer).
T3A Advanced Analytics is specialized in technical and economic optimization, aiming to offer a direct impact on the financial balance of our customers: Predictive maintenance (Wind, Solar, Hydro Production, Industry ...), urban networks of heat and cold, electricity transmission and distribution networks, optimization of smart grids (smart grids taking into account electric vehicles and mobility), optimization of the commercial fleet, storage of gas, energy trading, etc.
T3A works in project mode throughout the entire value chain, from understanding customer’s needs to industrialization at the customer.

Smart Energy Consultant
Your function
As Smart Energy engineer within our Advisory & Advanced Analytics department (T3A) you will contribute to develop its activities worldwide by
·
Delivering consultancy services studies related to energy transition issues;
·
Developing the associated expertise, new methodologies and tools specifications;
·
Delivering international consultancy services in techno-economic assessment of specific innovative applications (Micro-grids; Demand Response; Grid flexibility; Storage; green H2..), also using energy system simulation and optimization tools;
·
Supporting mainly B2B clients (Commercial and Industrial actors, Project Developers,...) in the definition and assessment of decarbonization strategies and energy transition scenarios;
·
Working in team on industrial research projects, on projects for international clients, and for the ENGIE Group;
·
You use and contribute to the development and improvement of software tools dedicated to techno-economic assessment of energy transition (functional specifications).
· You hold a Master or PhD degree in Engineering;
·
You have 1-2 years of working experience in energy or preferably in the power sector;
·
You have a strong interest in using simulation tools to carry out techno-economic analysis of smart energy systems;
·
You are passionate about innovative green and smart technologies;
·
You are fluent in English, and French or Dutch. Any other language is a bonus;
·
You are dynamic, creative, autonomous, client oriented, and you have a taste for high-level expertise;
·
You are willing to accept short and medium term assignments abroad.
